Hi Date Twin ( but now we're triplets ) and all October brides !

I was so excited today when I saw it was 200 days to go. I can't believe how fast the time is going. It doesn't seem 2 minutes since I was wishing the time away as my ticker wasn't moving cos it was over 12 months away ! Lol.

Few more things ticked off the to do list. Invites went out about a week ago. Given them plenty of time to RSVP but had a few back already. Also had some questions back re lack of kids on the invite , are they invited ?? I thought if it was just to for example 'Jack and Jill' then they would know. Or that's how I would see it. Anyway , have just said it's down to no.s and how me and the other half want the wedding. And as it's our day then I feel ok with doing that.

Make Up booked for me and the BM's , trial and on the day. Waiting for wedding rings to come in , had to send engagement ring off and I have missed it , be glad to get it back on. Appointment booked to go try my dress now it's arrived , so that's a week on Saturday. Ordered some Rainbow Club Shoes from Ebay , fingers crossed they fit. And ordered my Head Band from a lady that makes them. Last but not least , weekend away in North Yorkshire booked with the girls in September !

Sorry for going on , I'm just so excited with it all.

Hi lovelies!!!! Time is literally flying by, it's going so quick!

I've not really done anything in the last month or so but it feels like I've got my head a bit more in the wedding, started working out the logistics of things. We haven't sent the invites out yet but as we're going abroad a lot of our guests have booked flights etc (they all had 'save the dates' in December) .. our invite design arrived yesterday, I've started dress shopping (last weekend and this weekend, pretty sure I'm going to apprach a dressmaker to have one made now) we're going over to Spain on the 30th of this month for menu tasting, MU trial, meet the TOG, meet the minister, meet the decor company ... it's all go innit!

I just want a dress so that I can start thinking about accessories!!! I want to buy SHOES!

We booked October 18th about a week ago. Aghhh so much to do.

Have managed to sort out the church, reception venue, dress, car, save the dates have gone out (H2B insisted, I'd have just sorted the invitations) and cake is booked. Bridesmaids and Best Men (yes he wants two) are on board. The photographer is proving a little more problematic.

I have a feeling I'm going to burn out soon so taking an evening off organising tonight.

Hi Everyone.

16th October bride! I'm making our invitations this weekend with my Mum which will be good fun. We did a draft one the other day so know what they are going to look like style wise. Not sending them out till June/July though as we've told everyone to save the date. Since my last post we have also now sorted out a company to do our bouquets, button holes and table arrangements. We've decided against any other floral arrangements as the venue is so lovely without them and for us it's not a priority. We've also booked a photo booth for our reception which our friends had last year and it was such a good laugh and I''m going to use the second copies we get to keep to be part of our guest book! The main things we've got left to do are the suits for the men, still got to give our notice, and get the rings. We've started looking at music (having a civil ceremony) and have our entrance, exit and first dance songs chosen and got a few for during the reception. Just got to get another 4 I think for when guests are entering. Ticking everything off quite quickly which is a lovely feeling.

All very exciting and really enjoying all the planning! It's that 6 month point now for us October Brides!

Sounds like everyone is getting on really well with planning. Those getting married abroad have other things to sort too , but it must be so exciting.

Happy day for me , shoes arrived and they fit perfect !! So pleased , only had a 6 1/2 and I'm normally a 6 so I took a chance. And got a bargain too , result :-)

I am hoping to get the invites out by the end of April. We are giving notice next week (SOOOOOOOO excited about that!) and then I have to order the bridesmaid dresses, but I know the sizes and the style and everything. I seem to have got to the stage where it's mostly about paying for stuff now. I want to do some exciting stuff!!!

Hi all , well I must have been very eager as my invites have already gone out ! Lol. But they were printed as I'm not very artistic or anything so no chance of making them. Only sent the day one's out for now and I've given till end of June for RSVP's. But had quite a few back already :-)

My dress arrived a few weeks ago and I went to try it on Saturday. Fit is great , got right height shoes so no length alteration needed , just a few bits and pieces to sort. Was really looking forward to going and then a couple of things happened that spoilt my mood ( not wedding related ). So didn't feel as good as I think I should have. I don't have to go back now until a month before but I think I'm going to go back again to make myself feel better about it again , sounds daft now I'm typing it !

Although I'm not very creative I am going to have a go at my table centrepieces. I've bought a glass bowl I like and I've ordered some fillings ( sand / pearls ) today. Going to get some flowers to match my bouquets and then have a go at these. Thought if I just did one and see how it goes.

Can't believe we're nearly at the 6 month mark , and some already will be. Time is flying by :-)

These are my invites, those are my fur babies dressed up as bride and groom ? and the theme is rustic woodland. I am sending them out at the end of this week as the wedding is over two days so needed to give lot of time for people to make plans.

I'm no where near invites yet. I've got all the big things booked/bought except the bridesmaid dresses and suits - the remaining 'details' hinge a little on the bridesmaid dresses. We're hitting the high street on Saturday so fingers crossed I find something I like.

Hi there. Im just new to this but already posted a few things to ask

I get married 3rd October 2014 :-) cant wait...cant believe its only 5 1/2 months left to go

I am pretty organised i think...given notice, dress ordered be here end of May, bridesmaid dresses ordered be here July, flowers booked, caterers booked, reception room decorator booked, makeup and hair all and nails all booked, my mums making my cake.

Just ordered my stationery and its going out end of april for the daytime guests as need to decide what they want for their meals, as soon as all the daytimes are in i will send out the night times end of June time.

havent booked cars yet as seeing what is left of my budget and hoping for a discount if i book them late. So not really stressing out, enjoying the calm before the storm :-)

I am getting married on 3rd October too! 170 days...

So far we have booked: church, reception venue, minister, kilts, my dress, bridesmaids dresses, flowers, photographer, cake, cars, chaircovers and centrepieces, DJ, stationery, hair, make up and honeymoon. We just have the little things to do, but I do feel quite organised.

I am currently making up a box for my h2b, at the moment I only have a new watch and personalised boxers for it, also thinking of getting a honeymoon journal, but have not found one that I like that doesn't cost a fortune!

Eeek!! I'm 11th October too! Just had our invites delivered and so excited for everyone to receive them! Was feeling quite organised but now starting to panic there's more left to do than I thought!

Still got to do wedding rings, flowergirl dress, gifts, favours, order of service, shoes, gift for OH, centrepieces, headpiece and organise MUA! Think that's it but I'm sure I'll remember more!

Hi October Brides , just had to post as I can't believe how quick the time is flying. Ticker has dropped into the 4 months bracket ( although with 4 weeks and 1 day on ! Lol ). Early October brides must be even more excited than me. How are we all getting on , especially my date twins ?

My flowers arrived last week , really pleased with them. Going to try my dress on again this week. Mentioned in a previous post that I wasn't at my best when I went in when it arrived so going again to make myself feel better about it. Need to do this now as don't think I'll be going for my fittings till around July time.

Jewellers on Saturday to sort out rings. Both have arrived although I think there may be a problem with mine so going to see what we can do. Then Sunday going to sort out the boys. Thought we'd take advantage of the bank holiday weekend , suit shopping followed by food and a few drinks :-)

since we last spoke we have bought our 3 boys their suits, trousers need taking up tho so leaving them til a few weeks before. Not ordered my flowers yet, my fiance was made redundant in early april so just managing to keep our heads above water while he looks for a job. i hope to order them in the next month or so. Our invitations went out at the beginning of may not had one reply back lol but they have til july and its family mainly for the day so i think they will just be telling us lol.

will be making the evening invites soon and sending out. i also asked a close friend of mine to be my witness and she was soo pleased!

Ok, so where we're at....

Invitations went out last week!!! No RSVPs yet, but a few messages from people telling us how much they liked them.

We also ordered our rings last week. We went for bespoke rings, hand made, but got a bargain deal - £336 for the two!!

Dress and bridesmaid dresses are ordered. Still got to get headwear for the bridesmaids and probably me too as I've gone off the band I bought.

Yesterday, we chose the readings, today it's all about the music. H2B doesn't know that yet though. He is sat next to me, so he might notice what I'm typing soon. I want to get the ceremony form off to the registrar in the next couple of weeks. We gave notice ages ago.

I think that now, it's organising all the little bits. Gifts for people, clothes for the day after, underwear for the day, my tiara, table plans all that kind of thing.

We ordered our wedding rings last weekend. Mine is being made as a special order by the manufacturer as I'm a half size and sizing a full size up or down would ruin the setting. That will be back in 8 weeks! We bought OH's ring from the same place and my engagement ring and they sent my engagement ring to be resized down a half size and be replated for free. I got that back yesterday and it was so sparkly!!

We have our menu tasting tonight then I can start to print the wedding info cards but not sending them until early July so I have time.

My dress is sorted as is my bridesmaid so only my flowergirl to sort. I've messaged someone about a new headpiece for me as I don't like the one I bought, just got it at the time to try and reduce stress and tick another thing off the list. Still need shoes.

Suits picked but not having fittings until July and cake, cars and flowers nearly all sorted. All the fiddly bits still to do but time is going by so quickly!

19 weeks and 4 days to go :-) or 4 months and 2 weeks

Feel like I'm just waiting to start the other stuff. Daytime invites are out n due back end of may, most accepted so then can send night times out. My partner started looking at suits n nos what he wants so order them next month. My dress comes end of may, bridesmaid at end of July.

Going to start ring looking this month to buy in June and my sister has started organising my hen night. Keep feeling should be doing stuff but got nothing to do really. My venue don't need to see us till end of june for table plans and tasting etc. Am I missing something, feel like I should be stressing lol x

I feel like I'm missing something too. Invitations are on order; I plan to send them out mid June for RSVPs by mid July. I've ordered my shoes so still need underwear, jewelery, hoop and veil and that's me sorted (that sounds like a lot now I think about it). Suits are now ordered, hairdresser is now booked. We've met with the vicar and I'm now working on the ceremony and meal choice. Table stationary is the next thing I need to think about but I won't be doing that until the RSVPs are back.

Note to self - don't forget to order your rings!

Just thought i would pop on and see how the plans for all your October Brides were coming along. Especially my date twin (triplets) ?

So far we have the rings (these where our first purchase), venue booked and been for a food taster session which we loved, booked photographer waiting for them to get in touch for pre wedding shoot which is expected to be in August/Sept time, Dress is bought and in the shop being altered i collect it on Saturday, shoes have been bought, flowers ordered, centrepieces ordered, invites at home waiting to be sent out, DJ booked and bridesmaid dresses bought.

Main things left i think are suits for OH and page boy (we are holding off on this he is 6 months old but will be almost 1 by the wedding), music to choose, RSVP's to recieve once the invites have been sent, Hen and stag do to be had.... few other little bits but feeling pretty relaxed. Although i feel like i should be stressing, am i missing something or will this come a little closer to the time! ? x

Just got a call to say my wedding dress has just arrived :-) so going to get it on Thursday and cant wait, so excited, im going to be a nightmare to live with till Thursday

Ive ordered everything i need to and got all my RSVPs for my daytime back so need to send my night times out next month, bridesmaid dresses are coming in July, suits getting ordered July, photographer and flowers all booked (just need to get 6 table centre pieces) makeup and hair booked, menu tasting next month, hen and stag do's dates all set. reception venue sorted and rings we started looking at and know what we want, just need to wait till payday :-(

Think i might start my table plan so it feels like im doing something useful
