Off sick - feel pants - what to do?

Librarian Girl, 2 October, 2008 at 09:53 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I'm never off sick, this is really odd. Spent most of Tuesday night and yesterday morning chucking up, then slept all afternoon. Still feeling rotten today. Aside from more sleep, and attempting to eat dry toast, is there any way to make today less of a dreadful waste? I'm certainly not well enough to be in at work, even though the vom risk seems to be past.

When I'm off sick and in between sleeping I like to lie in bed with a mug of strong tea and watch rubbish DVDs.

    Is that an option?

Maybe replace the strong tea with lucozade and you're on to something...

I feel your pain. I too am never off sick but am currently lying in bed watching Holby City re-runs and feel like pooh!

I've had the sickness too, last time at 5am so I'm hoping its passed. I'm going to watch SATC DVD's as perving at Big usually cheers me up!

I am off sick too - have cold and feel sicky.

So am hitching. Cure for all ailments. And am sitting in a duvet.

I'm off sick with chickenpox, so am joining the "poorly" club.

I've managed to change the bed linen, but it has knackered me!

Definitely sofa, blanket, hot water bottle, tea/lucazade, trashy TV/DVDs, good book.

Luckily it is a mild dose, and seems to be confined to the top of my arms and my back (with a few on my chest and one under my boob!)

I,m taking piriton which seems to be helping. I'm 42 and have a childhood illness- for the 3rd time!
