What have you been diagnosed with? If its PND then your work cant sack you for excessive sickness as its pregnancy related.

Hey, as far as I can tell a back to work interview is a way of a Head determining if there is potential for future sickness, how they can best help you in the workplace and to 'touch base'. I would strongly recommend that you take in a union member (if you have one) or at least another member of staff - If there is someone in school who knows your situation and can paraphrase it you're in a stronger position (especially if you're anything like me and waffle on!).

A second person is also good to make sure you can have a second perspective.

I'd also like to reiterate what was said about using the summer as time to recoup, I just about manage to wake up and get to school now, I cannot imagine what it'll be like when I've got a baby!

Hope it doesn't come to it but if you're Head has said you will be part time in September, it is a binding verbal contract and can be taken up by your union (if you have one), as it suggests continued employment.

    Good luck, and don't worry

Oh I see, sorry should have read more carefully! From my perspective you're being proactive and trying to help the school as well as yourself (I know that's what i'd want to hear!).

I just hope you feel better, and that this weather isn't turning your kids looney - my class were! x
