Oh Cr*p

SJGemini, 6 May, 2009 at 09:41 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 3

Well after giving up breastfeeding last week I went to the gym last night.

I'm 16st 8lbs, the biggest I've ever been and heavier, I think, than I was through most of the time I was pregnant.

I have 6 stone at least to lose, I think.

I'm feeling so low.

Anyway, I'm going to go the gym as and when I can (even if it's just for 30 minutes), so I can get it out of my head that it's a full-on evening out.

I'm bought some Slim.Fast so I hope that will give me a kick start for a couple of weeks.

Then maybe I'll consider committing to WW, although I've always had problems keeping to the meetings.

So just thought I'd say hello - again - although I've not been on this particular forum for about 3 years!

    Holy cr*p.

Somehow I've managed to lose 8lbs in 6 days.

I've no idea from where but hoorah!!

Is there a running total I can add to?

    Hi welcome to WL.

you can join the monthly challenge where you post your losses each week and you can give your self a challenge as to how much you want to lose each month.

Well done on your first week excellent loss so far. Even doing a good 30 mins a day is really good. I don't go to classes as my husband works shifts and there for can't go as I have to small children but diet at home and always have done. I do a 30 min work out 5 days a week and lose anywhere between 2-4 lbs a week.

Good luck and keep us posted.

    TP xx

    Hi SJ,

Well done for taking the plunge. There are several people on here who has used slimfast first to kick start for a few weeks before going on to ww once they are happy they have changed habits. There is always ww online or if you are disciplined can follow ELMM - which is simple. If you click on the tag for ELMM then you will find the principles.

Good on you for getting into the gym. Four years ago if anyone had told me I would turn into a gym freak I would have laughed at them but I joined the gym and am still going now. I really enjoy it and find it motivating (although I did go through a bad patch with it last year)

Keep us updated with how you get on.
