Going2theChapel, 26 December, 2012 at 15:21 Posted on Planning 0 14

I clearly spoke too soon,

dear young sister, why why whyyyyy (sob) did you dye your beautiful brown hair (sob) bright purple 3 months before my wedding...

?

and breathe

Keep calm its Christmas, let her have her purple hair and pray she hates it with time

She was feeling something alright! ?

I do hope its a faze, but unfortunately this is very true to form and right on schedule. Mum will absolutely hate it and my sister will just love that ?

Meh, she won't be in all the photos, and she probably feel a lot sillier about it than you in a few years.

Get your tog to photoshop it out ?

I was thinking actually could be a good laugh to look back on in years to come when she is out of this funky phase! I hope her mind will be changed next week... she is trying on her dress and will realise what whoopsie this is!

What Nursery said - three months is ages away. I don't think you need worry anyway. All eyes will be on you on your wedding day, purple haired sister or no purple haired sister.

Mum isnt impressed with her hair but apparently its staying because 'it wont cover no matter what i do'... we will see about that i said haha

Shes a cheeky one, at the moment its all banter but I have forewarned her not to make me go all bridezilla on her ass ? ?

Does it matter what colour her hair is? I mean am sure you picked her to be a bridesmaid because of who she is, and if this is part of who she is why would you not want this represented at the wedding? Yes it may be something she regrets at a later date, but this is her now? I think its a little much for a bride to think they can control what someone does with their hair?!?!

Of course, I picked her because I want her to be part of my wedding and to share my special day with her. We have never been close sisters but I love her regardless of everything and wouldnt want her to miss being a part of it, even with purple hair. I am just venting as this is very true to form... not purple hair, shes only ever had shades brown hair...but dying her hair an outrageous colour several months before said wedding when it will clash with everything is very much having the dramatic impact hoped. Its not a lovely shade of plum its freaking bright purple lol

OH was joking last night about things he could put in his speech to mention it. 'revenge is sweet', hes going for the ultimate show up since banter is their form of communication, generally lol

thanks for everyones replies, Im no longer feeling bridezilla, Que sara sara and all that jazz
