I have no idea - but the urban dictionary claims it is a 'cool' alternative to Oh my god, or geez. Truely I am out of touch with da yoot.

I'm sure Dot Cotton on Eastenders does... Though it's been a while since I've watched it.

really? my jewish grandma used to say it. along with 'my life' ?

my grandma would have been mortified to have been thought 'cool' ?

I don't know but it's along the same lines as "'pon my soul", isn't it? So the same "God bless my soul/less me/God blind me/blimey" et al. I think it's quite sweet hearing the yoof use it.

I think some twonk on Big Brother used it a couple of years back, that's where I first heard it. Yuk. It's very affected, you hear kids saying it all the time.

I thought it was an old fashioned london saying, like cheeky mare? oh my days! or oh my godfathers! I quite like it. Don't know any yoofs though.

Its quite Bridget Jones mother actually....
