Oh my god!

cannotbelieveit, 6 October, 2010 at 15:38 Posted on Planning 0 6

3 days to go and I feel utterly panicky! I keep imagining all sorts of things are going to go wrong. I can't believe how long it is taking for the day to get here! And I can't sleep!!!

Have you got much left to do? Why not allocate some of it to others and with less of a burden you can try to relax yourself in the run up to the big day!

I've only got my veil to collect and then the stuff to take to the venue, which I am getting help with! I think if I had any more to do, then I would be having some sort of breakdown!!

    Perspective time Smiley smile

As long as the person conducting the service, you, your partner, and at least 2 witnesses turn up at the venue on time, so you can do the "legal bits" of a marriage, that's all that matters really.

If Aunty Mabel doesn't turn up, it won't ruin the day.

If the cake falls over, it won't ruin the day.

If your dress doesn't fit, it won't ruin the day.

If the best man turns up drunk and throws up in the punchbowl, it doesn't matter.

As long as you and your partner end up married, everything else is just gravy.

That's what I keep telling myself Smiley smile

    ... and breathe.

Don't sweat it! Be a sponge - soak it all up (in a good way!) to create those wedding memories!

And AJ - I love you style mate - very cool perspective for a bloke!

"As long as you and your partner end up married, everything else is just gravy". Exactly - hold on to that thought, soon to be brides! Thats what it is all about ultimately!!

Next time you feel the panics coming on, take a deep breath in... and then when you let it out, say to yourself "aaaaah Bisto". It'll bring a smile to your face every time - and think of the gravy.
