OH MY GOD! *Update*

I'm feeling the same as you, i hoped everything would be done (almost) by chrsitmas, invites, table names but know i've finally sat down to see what needs to be done & theres a hell of a lot to do! panic stations i think...i've been borrowing my OH for a half hour slot every night to decide on wedding songs, ceremony wording etc everythings booked apart from the hair and make up and i really need to get that sorted!

My OH works all week so rarely see him in the week lol.

I have my hair trial on the 27th so im excited about that - im going to go to the salon in the week/early next week to get my lashes tinted and permed and then if I dont like them like it I dont have to worry about it for the wedding lol. and if I do like it I can get it re done before the wedding. I also have to pay a visit to my hairdresser to get my colour done (a brand new one lol its sexxxxy lol) and im gettin my hair extentions toniight

Sending the cheque to th vicar tomorrow and then thats the most expensive part paid off...thank god! lol x x

I win, I win, only 4 months for me so my ARGHHHHH levels are higher! hahaha ;o)

I have to pay the florist, vicar, tog and vog.

I have to buy the last 2 bridesmaids dresses,

have to get my underwear,

make the list for the DJ,

I have to write the placecards and do the table plan (though that cant be done until the rsvps have come back - theyre alreayd made)

pay and book the beauty treatments and book the hair (for the day) after the trial and possibly pay on the day too.

got to print my order of service sheets (alreayd on the comp just need to meet with the vicar whos taking the service and then if theres any changes I can make them )

book the hotel,

get my friends presents (her nad her OH are driving me nad the bridesmaids and I said I would get them something)

Need to buy the favours also.

I bought my jewellerry yesterday (from the ebay seller you suggested Belinda - beautiful stuff )

And thats about it

5 months to go and ive got loads done already - What about you my lovely? x

Oh and I have to go to the vicar in our local parish and pay for the Banns (£34 which is going to be done this week - Hopefully)

Ahhhh five months for me too! I'm really feeling the pressure as we were originally planning for May 2012 and decided to move it to June 2011 so I'm now playing catch-up!

Just waiting on one of his friends' addresses and then I'm going to post the invitations... so excited! I feel like we have so much to do... and blimmin' pay for

Well - I posted MY invites in December with the christmas cards - but OH hasnt sent hardly any of his! SILLY BOY! lol not even his MUM has hers yet!! lol but I knwo what you mean when it comes to paying for things - however im lucky all mine is cheap! lol my church is £457.50, tog is £250 (whole day) and vog is £100 too so im alright atm I think,

And when it comes to 2 months I may die! lol x

Im really freaking out about our venue - we picked it cause we loved it, have it to ourselves & it has beautiful gardens & river for pics !

but I dont know enough about what all they do for us / how much we can get out of them, when do we meet them to start finalising details, how many meetings do we need, how can i show them what way I want table laid out etc

I was on their website & their isnt even any mention of complimentary champagne for bride & groom on arrival! Like is it just a given or do we even have to pay for that?

I mind a thread a while ago about venue questions...if anyone can find it for me i'd be very very grateful!

I've got just under 5 months to go!! Most things are sorted it's just paying for things now, it's all fairly cheap apart from the reception, I'm beginning to wish we were just coming back to mine for cheese and pineapple on sticks!! Sure it will all be fine ?

The diets gone a bit wrong, currently sat her eating a slice of home made victoria sponge cake (thanks for the idea flowmojo!)

Maybe I should have taken a leaf out of your book Hannah! My friends all got lovely save-the-date magnets over Christmas but his didn't as he never gave me their addresses

You are all starting to panic me now! I feel so disorganised! I have LOADS to do! But I also have quite a few things booked in over the next few weeks to get things sorted e.g. meeting with vicar, going to the flower warehouse to pick flowers, BM weekend to order the dresses...

I havent even started printing my invites let alone making them and posting them!

Lol im always organised though - always have been so the wedding is no exception - however lol I feel disorganised because I havent done all I wanted to do yet. lol.

I did the invites a week after we got engaged. lol it was the first thing (apart from booking the church and the reception). I cant order my other 2 dresses until the end of feb....GRRR lol. stupid chinese new year - OR stupid me for not ordering them all at the same time lol.

Im lucky im not paying for the sit down meal or the DJ - MIL is doing that for me nad my Cake is being paid for by mum. The evening reception cost £100 too so cheap as chips x

Hahaha hes on a conference this weekend boooo. LOL he has to go with his Best Man so I might arrange a time where they can do that and me and BM's Wife can go off with the baby and do something lol x

I think I might win the "how disorganised are you?" competition. ? 51 days to go and we're yet to buy:

- bridesmaid dress and shoes

- flower girl dress and shoes

- bridal shoes

- wedding favours

- honeymoon hotel (although we've booked the flights)

We also haven't decided on flowers (although we know we're using the same florist as is doing the arrangements at the hotel) or ceremony options (although it's only a civil ceremony in a hotel so we only really have to decide on music and readings). Plus, having originally decided on a navy colour scheme we decided about a week ago to change this to royal blue and silver, which meant changing the chair covers and men's ties.

Oh dear lol.

My Jewellerry come today as well as FOB gift, I got all my favours today in the local cancer research shop.

I have to get my hair extentions (once ive sorted the colour of my own hair lol.

ALSO - Got my lovely underwear today yayyy. Had to be refitted today lol. so not cool! lol x

Luckily I dont have anything to major left to do... I have to pick my flowers, order the boys suits, have my hair trial and buy my jewellery and tiara

Everything else is small bits really; buy wedding party gifts, buy decorations etc - in fact most of the small things entail purchasing of some kind haha!

Oh and I need to send out my evening invites too.

Thats ideal - it came today and she made me a bracelet to go with it too yayy lol. Ive sent all mine and just about to send th cheque for the church off and then I just have the hair and the BM dresses to pay for . So not too bad really

Its beautiful. I had to get the necklace made in a different length and the bracelet made in a different length too but she was so happy to do it for me.

OMG!!! as well, had to join into the panic! :-) I have just under 3 months, and havent even made the invites yet! although have designed them and got all the stuff to do them now.

giving notice of marriage tommorrow, meeting registrar on saturday, following week is menu tasting, week after that cake tasting, week after that final dress fittings.

Luckily everything is booked and deposits paid, but it is soooo scary paying it off as we are still saving the money!

We still have to meet for a mock up of flowers, confirm the chair sashes, confirm our first dance, write the name cards, order the favours (which we have chosen) find fabric to make the cravats and get them made, get the bridesmaids shoes and all our jewelry, my make up trial is next week but need to organise hair trials and mak up trials for bridesmaids, need to have final meet for photographer, and buy gifts for people. need to find a wishing well, signing book and ring cushion as well.

It's all manageable, but I keep freaking out as well! Good thread to start Hannah i feel much better venting it all on here, and seeing what everyone else has left to do as well!

Also - for gifts for people, have a look on ebay at photo frames for parents (they say our daughters wedding/sons wedding) theyre brilliant too. I got my dad some socks for the FOTB gift as its not traditional to get the FOTB anything. I got all my bridesmaids jewellerry for them to wear on the day.

It is really scary paying it all off...not only does it mean that its going to be very real very soon - but it also means that youll be so skint lol. - you have all this money in your savings and then you kiss goodbye to it with the flick of a pen! lol

The way I see it is... okay so we have to kiss goodbye to our savings, but at the moment every spare penny is being eaten up by wedding things, at least after the weddings our pot of money can start growing again!

Lol we plan to have kids like straight away so we wont ever have savings ever again LOL
