Oh no :-(

AmyandRoss, 30 August, 2014 at 23:14 Posted on Planning 0 13

I've stumbled across the designer Galia Lahav... I love 99% of their collections :-(.

Has anyone else tried this designer on? Any idea on price? I particularly love this one...

My wedding is in March and I've already got my dress, but I feel a little part of me will not be complete unless I try it on :-(. I had such a faff picking the dress I've purchased.

Would you try it?

A x

There's one of the Amy dresses up for sale on ebay. Seller says they paid £5150.

im not sure i like it! sorry! It certainly wouldn't flatter me but then I am a shortarse ha.

What's your dress like? Is it similar?

ETA: crikey, her website says "Dresses range from $6,000 – $19,500 depending on the model."

Wowzers!! I'm a short ass too. I'm only 5ft hehe. It's a very fitted fishtail dress.

    I don't think it's worth that much :-/. X

Wow check out their prices!! Just remember the dress you've already picked you picked for a reason. Remember how you felt when you tried it on and bought it!?

If you're willing to cancel the original dress if needed, and willing to pay that price for the second dress....then I would go and try your original choice on again and see how you feel. If you still feel like you want to try this one on then go for it! Maybe the dress youve chosen isn't the one if you're still looking at other dresses online......

It popped up on Facebook as a page someone had liked so I took a look. Where did you find the pricing?

She's an Israeli designer. The pricing was in the FAQ on her website here. http://www.galialahav.com/contact/faq/

Have you got a flash of your original dress, I'd love to see!

The dress you already picked is beautiful. You will just torture yourself if you keep looking. I could not work out which dress in particular you iked by Galia Lahav as the page took me to a slide show but they all look very ott and your current dress is quite simple. Unless if you tried it on and loved it you would be prepared to buy it I would advise you not to go there.

What gorgeous dresses! If I had the budget I definitely would have tried one on. Then again, you have your dress already. Do you have pictures of you wearing it? Maybe look at the pics and remind yourself of how you felt in it.

I do love my original dress. It's so simple and doesn't have an ounce of bling which I love. It shows my figure off brilliantly (which I've been working hard at after having 3 little people). I'm pretty short (at only 5ft) and a size 6, but I'm really curvy and it makes me look a lot taller than I am but those dresses are something else.

This is the dress I've purchased. X

I love your original dress, partly because it is a bit like mine, so I am biased. BUT, I know how I feel when I think of MY dress, and I know how wowed I was when I put it on and saw that it enhanced my curves, and gave me height. I know that my dress makes the best of ME, and from what you say, that is how you feel about yours.

I wouldn't go and try anything else on. At all. Especially when you already have something so stunningly beautiful!

You need to remind yourself why you chose the dress you have. If you dislike it, or never loved it, then perhaps you should keep looking. If there is nothing about the original dress you dislike, then stick with it. You will look amazing.
