Hope you don't mind if I scrape in on your post... (18th June bride here).

I keep checking the long-range weather forecasts and now get to look at the 14-day forecast. It isn't looking too good☹️ I shall be SO UPSET if it rains!

    Don't do it!!!

They can't accurately predict the weather that far in advance.

The week before mine they forecast snow... my day was sunny... how wrong could they be!!!

    Hey

I keep looking atv the weather obsessively, although I know that it's hard to be accurate this far out - I have ordered some white umberellas just in case!!!

I'm a bit gutted thoughj - when we booked I remember saying "its june, it will be lovely!"

This is the one thing in Wedding Planning that you have absolutely no control over. Have a plan in place for the event of wet weather, most venues will be ready with a battle plan ready to swing into action!

Yes we had the same Salari, people were saying oh how lovely a June wedding, I'll be gutted if we cant use the lovely grounds at our venue because of rain. Never mind, what will be will be, nothing we can do.

Well, I have to pick up the favours this week, pick up my dress and put everything together for the reception venue so the best man can take that over. I have butterflies all the time and keep mentally checking everything in my head lol for Friday Smiley smile

    I still have to....

Get Tan, nails and waxing done.

Phone the vicar to organise church flowers and pew ends etc.

Make sure everything is boxed ready to take too the reception venue.

Blow up about 80 balloons for our balloon release!

on Friday My Mum, H2b, best man and myself are setting up the reception ready in the restaurant and the barn covering them with Butterflies!! ?

Confirm timings with DJ and first dance etc (we are having Hold on by Michael Buble ?) and confirm my mum and Dads dance song as its there 30th wedding anni i have invited all there friends too but they dont know!

Label up all the balloons for the release with our names and wedding date.

    Write all the place cards.

    Organise our wish tree.

Help my mum assemble our cake and ice about 80 cup cakes lol.

As you can tell we are having a very DIY wedding but i love it this way as i have total control over what it will look like ?

    xxxx

Well I havent got much to do - just make the little flag-label things to go in the evening buffet, collect my dress and BM dresses on Wednesday and then take my dress for steaming. Thursday the replacement suits are delivered for the bits that didnt fit them (damn my OH for losing so much weight!) and then collect dress Friday, straighten hair and paint my nails. Oh and clean my makeup brushes! Might have to go out and get a last-minute pressie for our toastmaster as the thing I ordered hasnt arrived yet!

I cant wait until I finish work on Wednesday afternoon! Then I think it will really sink in that its happening!

I know I will keep checking the forecast which I know I shouldnt do - but dont forget girls that we get to marry the man of our dreams on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well - we have the auditors in at work at the momment, so I have to live through the audit first! After that I have to train my replacement 9As I leave for good on Wednesday! Yay!) and do all my handover notes.

Wedding wise, I need to re-do my table plan after someone cancelled on me - seriously, if anyone else cancels on me I'm going to knee-cap them - pick up my dress, get favours (they are in the post at the moment) and make them up into little bags and then just take everything down to the venue - there is ;piles and piles of stuff!!

Oh, and pack for the honeymoon...

I'm afraid I simply can not afford to just check the weather reports for my wedding the night before as we are having a garden wedding outside and we will need to arrange last-minute things if it does rain, like having the ceremony inside and having the breakfast inside. I'm hoping it wont come to that but if it does I'm afraid leaving it 'til the last day will do me no favours whatsoever!

www.Metcheck.com - it does quite far in advance.

To be honest with you though, the forecasts it has been giving for 18th June have varied HUGELY, changing every few days. Which shows how little faith you can really place in them. I advise you plan for wet weather anyway so you are covered for all eventualities.
