Oh...for some reason the rest of my thread doesn't appear!

Old - a silver £5 coin my Dad bought when they were released to give to his three girls on their wedding day

    New - wedding frock

Borrowed - (finally) a religious medal from my mum, which I'll clip into the inside of my dress

Blue - a La Senza garden with a blue ribbon

These types of wedding traditions are the things I'm enjoying the most!

Initially my old, borrowed and blue was going to be my Mums garter however she told me the other day she doesn't know where it is so I'm stuck now!!

    New - my dress

Borrowed - possibly my friends veil, if I decide to have one

    Blue - my garter

Old - does my OH count?!? He's older than me!!

WSS! so i borrowed my aunt's instead. my mum actually tried to fob me off with a vintage garter that she claimed was hers, though i knew it wasn't as i'd (accidentally)seen the email from the person she bought it off on ebay! plus it looked nothing like the one that's in ALL her wedding photos. cheeky mare.

    so:

new - dress, veil, tiara, shoes, bag, necklace, earrings, underwear...

old, borrowed, blue - aunt's garter.

plus i had an old sixpence teehee sent me, and a blue gem on my necklace clasp, so i could cover all bases with different things.

Borrowed has got me stuck too

Old - ring from my nan that she doesn't wear anymore - I'll probably sew it to the inside of my dress somewhere as I can't actually get it on any of my fingers

    New - Dress

    Borrowed - dunno

Blue - there are blue bows on my garters (I've got to have two as my parents bought me one and so did my MIL2B so I figured I'd wear both to keep them all happy - good thing I have two legs lol)

I've only got old and new sorted:

    New: Dress etc

Old: A vintage bracelet I found in an antique shop

Borrowed & Blue: Absolutely no idea what to do about these. Liking the spurs garter idea, though it isn't very vintage. OH is a massive fan.

borrowed really is a toughie! I ideally wanted some traditional family hand me down but to no avail!! Me and my mum were discussing it for months and neither could come up with anything! I wanted something that was nice, and meant something - if you brides have close friens whose jewellry or tiara you could borrow I think that's really nice but again, I didn't! I only sorted it on Saturday when my Mum finally came up with the religious medal...earlier in the night she was like (in desperation) 'what about a pair of tights?' EWWWWWW!

My friend borrowed a veil from another friend of hers. It was soo sweet, the girl had just got married a few months before her, and i think borrowed it from her sister... but she wrapped it all up put it in a shoe-box and taped it shut. She gave it to her new hubby...who was going to be seeing my friend and said to give her the box and tell her that everyone needs a something borrowed...she wouldnt even tell him what it was! Smiley smile My mum also borrowed a veil as hers, so I think I might go through my mums jewelry and find something to borrow maybe! or my sisters! Unless someone offers me something else!

    I just found my borrowed

Our best man is lending me his silver sixpence so that sorts out the last bit of the tradition too.
