Old, New, Borrowed, Blue?

AyCeeUK, 12 July, 2008 at 16:16 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi,

I'd really like to have something old, new, borrowed and blue but I'm a bit stumped for ideas! My dress will be my new but I'm not sure of the others. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ali :o)

    My new is my dress

My old is my grans brooch which will clip my fur wrap together (winter wedding!)

My borrowed is the veil which I am borrowing from my best friend

My blue - not got yet so am thinking some knickers with blue on (no other underwear being worn as it's a corset backed dress) or the old faithful blue garter!

New - is everything \i'm wearing!

Blue - is a little blue ribbbon sewn onto the back of my garter

Old & Borrowed - I'm stuck on - might try and borrow 10p from my Mum and want to try and get something of my Nan's for old, but she passed away last year and it's a hard time with the wedding coming up, I'm scared of upsetting people by asking if there's anything I can have.

Old: Still stuck on this one but mum is looking into it. If all else fails, my dad will be walking me up the aisle and he is 60!

New: My dress (plus a lot of other things!)

Borrowed: My closest friend (like a sister to me) is lending me her dads wedding ring that she has worn on her right hand since he died. Just so it's clear, this is not the ring we're getting married with! I also going to wear it on my right hand! It's special because as we were growing up we were in and out of each others houses and it was kinda like having two sets of parents (hers and mine), so he was like a second dad to me. We are also getting married in the church he is buried at, so it's like he'll be there too.

Blue: My friend Becky bought me a garter with a blue ribbon sewn through it.

    My new is my dress

My old, blue and borrowed is a garter that h2b's grandad is lending to me. He's a vicar and it's one that he's lent out to other brides in the past as their old borrowed and blue.
