    Congratulations! Big smiles!

My friend fell pregnant about 8 weeks after she got engaged! She had the baby in January, and gets married this Saturday. She bought the dress pretty much as soon as she found out (as she had limited time to try dresses on!), and has been having fittings ever since baby arrived. She's back into the dress now ?

ETS: Ignore my reply, just realised you will have already had your baby when you get married. In that case I would hold off buying anything until march, that's still plenty of time to get a lovely dress (and all the fittings) it doesn't have to be structured it can be lovely and floaty!

You may be better off waiting until nearer the wedding date to purchase a dress as it will be an expensive job to get a dress which may need altering considerably before.

There are loads of gorgeous maternity bridal dresses around.

Big congratulations to you both ? <- coke of course

    Firstly Congratulations

You could always start looking for your dress now before your bump gets too big then order it in a size bigger so you don't feel pressured to loose the weight after.

As people say, it's always easier to take material out of a dress then it is to add it.

    ?

    Me and you both! ?

Im due in November and getting married in February. With regards to the dress I found mine straight away after finding out and got measured there and then after paying the deposit.

The ladies in the shop I got mine from were absolutely brillant and completely reassuring about the whole thing.

A few months is fine to get it altered.

Im swimming 3 times a week now and just generally being healthy so that it won`t be an upheavel to lose the post baby weight!

    Hope this helps. ?

    Congratulations ?

    Sammi xx

    Snap!

I am due in January, we were planning on getting married Oct 2011 but have brought it forward to september this year when I will be roughly 6 months, I prefer to do it this way.

If you have already ordered your dress there is not alot you can do, is it a corset style at the back? They can be very forgiving size wise. I'm sure things will be fine and you'll be one of those annoying new mums that snap back into shape hours after delivery lol!

    Congratulations by the way!

Ha ha Sammi good idea, I didn't realise you were preggers too!

You should check out Baby Talk and introduce yourself, I mainly lurk just now but it's a worth look.

How you feeling? Is this your first?

O thats big news!! Well you could contact the place your dress is being ordered from and ask them to change the size to a size bigger...theres 3 months after the baby arrives to lose some weight so you do have some lee-way! And then you'll maybe need a wee suit or a wee dress as well!! Smiley winking

Congrats to all expectant Mummies!! I love my babies Smiley smile

I found that I carried all at the front with both my girls, my youngest is 4 months old and I actually am thinner than I was before I had my first, 3 and a half years ago. If you get your dress and set your heart on it, they'd be able to adjust it for you at the last minute I'm sure?

P.S. Breastfeeding helps to get rid of baby tummy! And Bio Oil is a godsend for stretch marks!! Expensive, but oh so worth it! Smiley smile x x (I went on a trip to South Africa last year, and bought Bio Oil there, much much cheaper ... )
