OMG freakin' spiders! WARNING - includes picture of big mutha hairy thing...!

Petal, 26 August, 2010 at 12:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 28

I was over at my friend's house this morning for tea and cake and was sitting there chatting. I felt something under the leg of my jeans tickling me. I thought it was my imagination at first. Just an itch. Anyhoo, I stood up and it was still there (was shaking my leg by this point). Decided to pull up the leg of my jean thinking maybe it was a fly or ant or something and saw the biggest, fattest, hairiest, scariest fu ck off spider you have ever laid your eyes on.? I managed to get it out quickly but was squealing (I am such a baby!) and running around the room. I then felt physically sick and since then keep scratching myself all over convinced another one is under my clothes. Kids were completely unphased though!

Animal lovers will be pleased to hear that the spider was ok (managed to throw it out the window after some tricks with a glass and mag).

Jeez. Never shltted myself so much in all my life ?

    That sounds so grim.

I once put my boots on, got in the car, drove down the street and had to pull over when I could feel something wiggling around under my foot. I stopped and took said boot off to find a beetle in it. I freaked!

H2B was away on his friend's stag do a few weeks back and on Saturday I fell asleep on the sofa, when I woke up on Saturday morning something caught my eye that was running across the floor towards me... it was the biggest f*ck off spider I had ever seen!!!

It was so big it looked like it had 10 legs, but no, they were fang like things! It was horrible and took me a good few hours after I put a glass over it to get as far as throwing it outside...

But... I did manage to take a picture to show H2B that he was a bigger girl than me (he is not a spider's biggest fan either!)

    Do you wanna see??

OMG - I REALLY shouldn't have looked at this thread. I live in an old house, in the country, so big spiders often come in for a visit. I hate the furry little gits and flap around screaming and generally being pathetic until H disposes of them. Now I'm all freaked out and convinced the house is crawling with massive spiders, which isn't good as H is working tonight and I'm home alone. How will I sleep tonight?

I met a freakishly large spider last night Smiley sad in my mates bathroom I walked in closed door found pull switch. turned light on and I'm so glad I was facing the loo before a sat on it. It was right next to it on the sink.

I then opened door turned light off and exited....then preceeded in telling everyone about it. thinking a man would go remove it but no they were more scared than me!!

I do get largish spiders in my house...but both me and oh are scared of them, so set the dog on it..well its either him or the hoover. (I do apologize to any spider fans)
