OMG I'VE JUST BROUGHT THE WEDDING FORWARD.....86 DAYS TO GO!

miss.understood, 25 November, 2010 at 13:41 Posted on Planning 0 33

As you'll know, i found out yesterday that me and H2B are expecting (3 to 4 weeks gone). We thought about it over night, and our original wedding date was May 7th......

I am now ever so proud *and hyper as h*ll* to announce we will now be married on:

Saturday 19th February 2011 at 1.45pm

OMG OMG OMG OMG

I have changed the ceremony to that date, also the evening do, contacted the bridal shop and they said it wouldn't be a problem Smiley laugh

So we will be having a winter wedding Smiley laugh

I just have to change the inside of the invites which is easy to do (thank goodness i have new printer cartridges!) lol.

instead of having a wedding cake made for £100..... my plan is this: plain iced christmas cakes keep for months with them being fruit. SO.....i'm getting a couple large (probably one larger and one smaller) cake from M&S and decorating them myself!

My heart is going 20 to the dozen..... this is happening, and i'm marrying Jellybeans daddy in 86 days time Smiley smile xxxxxx (btw where are my new date twins?!)

    Congratulations! I was your old date twin but not sure about your new one.

    Just thought, you might be able to get some reduced Christmas cake when they get rid of it between Xmas and NY. Might save yourself a few quid for something else instead - nappies, perhaps?! ?

    That's great news! How exciting to have it so close. M&S often do a three for two on their cakes so you could keep an eye out for that offer.

    Really all i have to do is:

    * change the wording on the inside of the invites to the new dates

    * make the favours

    * save money!

    pretty much just a case of paying for things now. and i can save £100 if i don't have a cake specially made for the occasion.....xmas cakes keep so long, so i think i'll get some of them instead Smiley smile xx

    Congrats on both fronts!!! You are a braver girl than I not sure how i would cope if i brought my wedding forward that much - crash diet i think!

    You can check out m&s cakes online and save yourself the trip Smiley smile

    How exciting miss.understood. Only a couple of weeks after me now......the countdown is on!

    I priced up M&S cakes online when we first started looking and before MIL2B offered to make them. They were reasonable and you can get standard fruitcake, plain sponge and chocolate sponge as I recall. All the tier sizes were online if the snow is too bad and you wanted a sneaky peak. I've seen a couple of M&S cakes decorated individually and they looked fab.

    At least you don't have tons to do. x

    Yeah we're both thrilled to bits. I have to admit i feel totally exhausted today, just printed out what i thought were the right centre thingies for the invites with the changed dates...went to cut the first one out and realised it was the wrong damn insert!

    so just had to print them again. thankfully they're printed in a couple of minutes but i have to admit.....i did have a little cry and a cuddle with my 7 year old xx

    Woohoo!! Fab that you've been able to move the wedding! You'll enjoy it more if you don't feel too huge with the baby bump. You're going to have such a perfect day & it'll be even more special knowing you've got a likkle jellybean cooking away in there ?

    ?

    I'm doing M&S too, though going for a mix of cup cakes and then going to have a go at making a fruit cutting cake...goodness knows how I'll decorate it mind! We've got some lego wedding figures I might use which look fun lol.
