Hi, all!
THAT moment has arrived now for me too!?
I am working from home today and as a rule I do not answer my private mobile during "working hours". I went to make a coffee and saw the missed calls from the bridal shop and my heart skipped a beat. Well, not immediately, as at first I thought it must be to do with the appointment I booked for 16th April for my 3 BMs to try on various dresses but when I listened to the message I nearly fainted:
MY DRESS HAS ARRIVED!!! A month early!!! They had said end of april, beginning of May! Quite a nice day for it too - it's sixteen degrees in Leeds, sunny, blue skies, and 9 months exactly until the BIG DAY!
BUT... as always there's a but and not only the size 16 but that I am trying to reduce LOL.
As many of you know from older posts, my beloved mum is paying for my dress and she lives in Romania. She is retired and her pension is £250 a month - something quite average if not on the high side in Romania! (where all the prices have been aligned to EU now but not the salaries or pensions). She had taken a small loan to pay the deposit in December and now another loan to pay the rest. She has even got herself a job tutoring a school kid through an agency that hires babysitters and tutors (someone who will do homework with the kid, take them to museums, parks etc, so someone who does education as well as staying with the child whilst the parents are at work; normally these are retired teachers, like my mum). I could cry when i think what she is putting herself through only to pay for this dress! I am just hoping I can get the shop to wait til the 16th!
Also I need to lose more weight so although I am giddy that the dress is here, in a way I wanted it to arrive later rather than earlier!!! Anyone else felt like this? Guess not!
EDIT: here's apic reminder:
