On the burger topic - alternatives to egg to bind?

I normally use an egg to bind my home made burgers. Is there anything I can use instead?

Would breadcrumbs help / work?

Just buy good quality mince - the extra fat should bind it together.

WBS - I'm allergic to eggs so can't use them but have never found it to be a problem. It helps if you can pack it together quite firmly. I use a burger press from Lakeland and it helps a lot.

I also use the burger press from lakeland and if they in fridge for few hrs before cooking no need for egg at all.

Marvellous stuff, I like the sound of that even better. (It would work with lamb mince too, yes?) Not sure I have time to get to lakeland for a burger press though, but I'll bear it in mind for next time. Thanks ?
