Pressure from families to give in to things they want which you don't., people not reading the information sheet, fittings only being done on weekdays....
Ok that's just my wedding. Weddings in general:
Balloons, coordinated first dances, 22 bridesmaids, DJs talking during the first dance (other than to announce it), photographers walking up the aisle during the service to take pictures, forgetting to thank people in the speeches, animal releases, groom serenading the bride.
I have to disagree there. One of my friends knitted me a willy lipsalve holder that is also a keyring. You lift up the foreskin and the lipsalve goes inside. Genius ?
This could have been a life drawing of one of my ex's!!!
We all have them! lol ?
I don't think i have many hates... everyone does what they want cos thats what they want and if someone doesn't like it then thats their problem... I worry bout people at my wedding telling me how great it is but wispering bout bad food, boring decor, merangue (sp??) dress etc....
However my top five would be:
1 - animals in any form (inc dogs with bow ties!!)
Hmmmm dare I say it?? I hate the colour baby PINK at weddings, especially pink balloons or pink bridesmaids, pink cravats etc
(SC runs and hides from all the hitchers who are having pink weddings)
If I am really honest, when I was younger I always thought Pink was what I would have as my theme, but as I have started to plan our wedding I have realised how much I hate it at weddings, I think it looks like arsebum, I turned up at our venue for a show around with my mum and sister, they had a wedding that afternoon that was baby pink I honestly couldnt believe how gross it looked, even the weddig co-ordinator looked like she may vomit from the pink induced nausea ......since then I have turned my back on pinkness at our wedding day which in some ways makes me sad,.......as it was something I had my heart set on
V sorry if I upset anyone, It is after all just my opinion and what do I know?
Arsebum isnt a real word BTW, I made it up and it is MINE, MINE, MINE
Think monogram hideously emblasoned onto an off white rug, with edges curled up and creases in, - a la Claire Richards (that wedding documentary on bbc3 last night)
Totally agree with the pink thing!! Loving arsebum, I am stealing it!!!!?
BIL and his wife did the baby pink thing for their wedding back in February and it looked terrrible, not to mention thefact that the bride and
bridesmaids had fake tan to rival a bottle of fanta and false eyelashes
that were about 6 inches long!! Sorry to say but its the tackiest
wedding I've ever seen not just because of the tan etc but namely because the men were dressed as pimps complete with canes and hats with pink ribbon!!
I hate brides who spend ££££ on their outfits but the groom wears a cheap polyester suit which is made to look worse than normal due to the brides layers of silk, chiffon, lace and any other material wedding dresses are made of!! Its his day too!!
Equally as sickening as overtly pink princessy weddings, I dislike red / burgundy / merlot / scarlet and ivory weddings, as they seem like the "safe" choice and quite overdone.
? I'm having red (claret!) and ivory BM dresses but actually completely agree with you! hence very little red elsewhere and breaking it up with some ? dusky pink ? and claret flower girl dresses and some touches of pink in the ivory bouquets.
If only I'd put more thought into it and not been such a relaxed bride (gave BM's pretty free reign) I think I would have gone for aqua.
