    This I don't get!!

My PIL didn't even know the colour of the cravats/waistcoats for their son's wedding as the bride refused to tell anyone, then went and told 3 male friends where to go to hire the exact same suit as every other man in the wedding party so they would match!! Why is it such a masive secrect what colour you're having, its not like its a massive shock/surprise when the men walk in wearing baby pink, considering its the only bl00dy colour you ever wear!!!

I don't get chair covers either and have never been to a wedding thats had them!!

I hate waiting around of hours (went to a wedding in August and after the church service which ended at 1.30pm we arrived at the reception venue at 2pm. We got sat for our meal at 7pm and first course was served at 8.30pm!!!!) time things better please so the day flows!!

I'm still sticking with my earlier comment on the chaep suits though, that to me is the biggest pet hate. Its the mans day too so spend a little on his outfit too!

    Luv Victoria

    xx

A recent wedding I went to, the bride was given three plastic horseshoes to hold outside the church, during the photos.....I, (maybe too loudly) told OH's Mum, that if anyone gave me of of those, could she hide it up her skirt until we came across a bin.

My mums friend owns horses and whenever she has been on the vino (most weekends) she phones me or mum to ask if we want one of her horses to give me a horseshoe on the day (how that is possible I am not sure).

How many different ways can one say no thanks!?!?

also have a funny feeling someone will give me a horseshoe - will smile sweetly and not seem like a bridezilla by launching it over the nearest wall.

I assume she means that she'll keep one when they are replaced before the wedding (done every 6/8 weeks).

The fact I owned horses and still ride etc means I'm guaranteed at least one. If I do I'll just pass them to someone to put aside for safe-keeping ?

Sarah-Kay, you kinda ruined that for me. I had an amazing image of the horse coming up to Cheska with a horseshoe tied to a ribbon in its mouth... Preferably in a church yard with the owner in a massive ascot style hat leading the horse along...

I quite like the idea of a "real" horseshoe, it is just the silvery, brittle, plastic ones I HATE!

Might have to get Dad on the blower to the farrier! ?
