I just love christmas, what I dont like is shops shoving it in your face 5 months before it arrives, then by the time it does arrive then the magic has gone, its such a shame, i remember when i was little christmas ment time with your loved ones, nowadays its all about who cen buy the biggest and most expensive pressies.

and seeing eveyones faces so stressed and miserable while out shopping, not good.

Hey, if you'd have been in Yorkshire yesterday, you would have needed your boots and coat! Much nicer sunnier day today though.

Gah, I'm sick of talking about Christmas already. I work in a hair salon and people have being going crazy for their December appointments since the start of July. Bah humbug!

I love Xmas! You're right though, it really isn't far away, I keep thinking that once we're back from our honeymoon it'll be mid-October and then it really isn't long til the festive season. My fsil is expecting her first baby in December too so it's going to be all exciting!

I love Christmas.....busy time for me though. Last year I was gigging four/ five times a week through November and December, including Christmas Eve......death by Christmas music!!!!. My first Christmas party was in October last year....that was odd....but there was a good reason for it, it was an army one and they were being posted the following week.

That is so scary, I am glad I don't work in retail now it used to be hell. As you say getting stocks in around now! Watch out in the card shops there will be xmas cards on display bank holiday Monday. Has been the last 2 years really annoys me.

I love the festive season, but the scary thing is. That we come back from honeymoon 2 days before h2b 40th bday and then it is 3 months till boxing day arrghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

He also likes the tree up of the 1st !!!! So that means 8 weeks from coming back we ge the tree up at least something to look forward to and start to plan our 1st married xmas together oh I feel all ? now

this really annoys me too. When i want to buy summer clothes in august time i can only get winter stuff or sales stuff and when i want to buy myself new stuff in winter after christmas then its all starting to be light spring clothes! and it drives me mad that you can't find a party dress hardly anywhere except around christmas time!

And i don't mind christmassy things being put out in shops but i can't stand when they start playing christmas songs on the 1st of october! drives me mad! especially when i used to work in the garden centre and i was building christmas trees for display and setting up christmas card tables in the middle of august. it also makes it much harder to handle listening to christmas music around christmas time when you've been bombarded with it every day since october. This year, because i wasn't at the garden centre anymore I found it a real luxury to be able to put on the christmas CD in the middle of december and actually enjoy it for once.

This is one of the reasons I am so glad I no longer work in retail. I actually get to enjoy xmas and the music etc.

As you say not looking forward to shopping in a few weeks for summer clothes for honeymoon as all the winter stuff will starting to show up in the shops. No good for Crete cross fingers!

Lol I would normally moan about this too but this year I've been quite pleased that shops have started putting out the boots, coats, etc because I really really wanted some ugg boots for our honeymoon and was worried I wouldn't get any before October. But, I managed to get some a couple of weeks ago and I love them! Plus, I might need to get some warmish and waterproof items - Cornwall in October could be chilly!

We started working on Christmas on QVC ages ago! In fact we just had our Christmas in July event. There's piles of decorations in the office. By the time we get to the day itself, we're already working on Spring, so it all is a bit backwards to me!
