Opening computer file help please

Roobarb, 30 May, 2009 at 09:56 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I have been sent some documents I need to review for a meeting next week but 2 of them are excel spreadsheets, and I don't have microsoft office, and the other is a file with the suffix ".odt" and I can't open that either.

Does anyone know of any programs I can download that means I could open these files?

?

Open office is a free thing which is similar to microsoft office and would work on the spreadsheet. The other one is I think a text file so it might work on that too.

Otherwise you could send it to someone to save as a pdf for you?

If you download openoffice you'll be able to deal with the excel ones and I believe the .odt ones are generated from openoffice as well so it'll work for that as well.

    Its a free programme
