Hi All,

I'm new to the forum but need some opinions.

We have decided to set or date as 26th November, which is a Thursday, we have chosen this date as it is outr anniversary so a special day for us.

The question i have is although we want to tie the know on this day should we have our party this day too or on the Satuday following?

We are only having a small wedding and partyand where we want it sohopefully timescale shouldnt be a problem but until we decide when to have ceremony and party we canot book anything and we have less that 5 months to go!!

Hi and welcome to hitched.

It's up to you whether you have the party on the same day or not. I guess you would need to give guests plenty of notice.

My only concern (from a point of view if I were the guest) would be booking the time off work. As obviously the thurs would need to be booked, and if its a late party or travelling is required, the friday would be needed off too.

That what we were thinking. People who have travel arrangements to make might struggle, but some people who we invite to the ceremony might not be able to make the journey twice for the ceremony and then 2 days later for the party?hmmm...
