Opinions on centrepieces please

Shamy, 2 September, 2014 at 17:52 Posted on Planning 0 22

So at this late stage my florist has given me another decision to make and I don't think I have another decision left in me! OH has said it's up to me which is no help, so hitched, I turn to you.

I had originally picked these ones:

But the florist said clear vases would be better as it would allow guest to see each other. I thought as the white lily vases were narrow, visibility wouldn't be a problem, but now I'm doubting myself.

She has suggested something similar to these:

Thoughts please?

    I like the original choice.

They may be in people's way a little bit, but i'm sure it's not that imposing

Definitely like your original choice the most, and agree that vases are so narrow that they can't get in the way that much

Thanks ladies! It's my favourite too but so helpful to have an outside perspective.

Agree that the 1st one is less intrusive to the eye view of guests and nicer.

Def the original choice. They always say that about clear glasses so guests can see but can always just talk to those next to each other or make the effort to move around x

    I like your original choice.

We are thinking of having vases like in the second choice filled with fairy lights and the bouquets like in your original choice on top.

I had your original choice in clear glasses and I loved them. I also had a few white roses in there too and they did look lovely (if I may say so myself).

Do you have a flash you could share? My florist is now saying the vase is too narrow to support the roses and I have to have a conical one!

Nope! And apparently even though I sent her a picture right at the start of our email conversations she somehow didn't take on board that was the type of centrepiece I wanted. She noted it down as a conical vase and has worked in that basis?? So that's it, I can't have what I want now but she didn't tell me this until after I paid her....
