I was just wondering if anyone has ever had/having/or seen this done.

Me and other half will be having a cake nearly similar to this...

but with deep red little diamonds ont he cake instead of the little white bobbles... (or something to this effect) and neither of us want a cake topper, but was at the London Excel wedding show today, and see a cake with the bride and grooms initial's in Diamante's on top. I think it looked really pretty and the cake was similar to above... do you think that it would work or be too much? (also the big diamonds on the ribbons shown above is not what we are looking at having eithere - bit undecided about them - if we do maybe smaller)

heres the diamonds i have found for a fraction of the cost than at the WF today...

    It would be very "blingy". If thats your style then I say go for it. Im struggling to think how red would work against the white of the cake though? What if you had the bobbles with red ribbon if you want it on your cake somewhere?

    Loads of pics on google to help you decide but this was just from a quick search .

    Personally I'd either have the letters or brooches on the bows and think I'm going more towards the brooches.

    They are tiny tiny little diamonds, im trying to find a pic but really struggling... I don't really like the big diamond clips on the bows as its too blingy.

    Im not usually a massive blingy person, but wanted something a lil different to the norm. So, with that in mind the only diamonds would be the initials and the little red ones on the cake every now and then... i'll see if i can get a piccie going of the cake we are lookign at ?
