orange?

CharleeA, 8 January, 2012 at 14:56 Posted on Planning 0 16

Im having a spring wedding april 2013 and i really like the idea of an orange colour theme. What do you think? I didnt want the usual lemon, pale colours or sage green so i thought this would be quite nice and bright. I was planning on keeping it simple and mixing it with either white or ivory (depending on the colour of my dress) as I didnt want to over complicate it with different colours.

So classy ot trashy what do you think?x

We are having an orange themed wedding and we love being a little bit different. It is a bit more challenging to find things like bridesmaid dresses but it is possible, especially if you mix with ivory.

It looks really stunning in photographs too

My brother got married a few years back and their colour was orange, orange everything, but the bridesmaid dresses were green with us each holding a bright orange bouquet - it looked lovely.

I'm Having orange! But only a little bit as mainly purple, so having orange roses in flowers and few bits of stationary will have orange to but just a touch, I love it though so different and a lovely colour!

Oh my god i am in exactly the same boat as you... when i first started looking at colours i fell in love with orange and green. But i have been looking for orange bridesmaid dresses since June and cant find anything that isnt pumpkin orange. Dessy has lovely ones, the exact shade i had in mind but they were way over budget!

So im thinking of putting my bms in another colour (still to decide) then have orange flowers, stationary, etc etc!

I cant find any other colours that i like so much... plus my wedding is summer time so i think it would look lovely and bright! xx

Orange is a lovely colour for a wedding! Much better than the typical 'cadbury's purple' and hot pink so many have.

It can look really fresh and modern, or with a paler tone you can give it a country-shabby-chic look.

    Lovely choice!!

Ps. It looks goregous with grey for a slightly unusual look!
