Order of speeches and when to have them.

Traditionally it's father of the bride, then groom, then best man.

And traditionally the speeches are done after the meal, but we're having ours before so everyone can relax and enjoy the food.

Traditionally... Father of the bride, Groom, Best man. Saying that I've done all kinds of combinations and order. There has been a real shift from having speeches at the end of the meal to having them before the meal. The main reason for doing it before the meal is so that those who are involved, and are probably very nervous, get it out of the way so they can relax and enjoy their meal.

We're having the traditional father of the bride/groom/best man order as well as having them at the end of the meal. Decided to keep it like that so that everyone has a good few drinks in them and it doesn't fall a bit flat.
