Orders of Service - ugh

TheNinjaPigeon, 9 January, 2011 at 17:27 Posted on Planning 0 9

Less than 3 weeks to go and I printed the covers on card. Fab. I then printed the middles. Great. I have just cut 125 lengths of ribbons and nail varnished the end of each so they don't fray. Brill! Then I check my email and my godfather has pointed out that there are errors in the OOS text. AAAARRRRGGGHHH. Now have to reprint all the middle bits. So have ordered more paper and am going to have to cadge work ink. Bleargh.

I feel your pain becci-I've just noticed I've spelt Baileys wrong on our menus (spelt it Bailey's)...that was only 25 but don't have enough card to print again. Trying to decide whether people will notice but think it will niggle me too much.

Oh no! Someone will always find a mistake I'm sure! We showed our OOS to the vicar on Sat before printing and he pointed out a few errors, eg signing of the register should be registers. Like you we've not got much time left and I am going to check all of the words in the hymns tomorrow and then ask the bridesmaids to proof them too. Hope all of the other planning is going well!

I might notice the spelling if "Bailey's" was on it's own. Less likely to notice if it said "Bailey's Irish Cream".

I think I am mostly there now. There's enough to keep me occupied but not so much I'm panicking. I'm really really excited now. How about you?

Oh no Smiley sad Well I suppose one good thing is it's been spotted before the wedding day. You've got time to sort it. Don't panic x

Are you finding that just lots of irritating little bits keep coming up just when you think you are done?

Yes!! My to do list just gets smaller then I add a load more stuff to it. I realise I had forgotten about the whole ordering holiday money thing too!!! Luckily I can use Euros at our resort so it shouldn't be difficult......

I've got to chase up lots of people and fetch things - our honeymoon tickets aren't in yet for example. We have no holiday money. On the plus side - I did get our rings back from the engraver at the jewellers yesterday and managed to reprint all my orders of service (thanks to works photocopier). Not long now!!
