Organising my wedding in 9 months!

ChimeneE, 5 January, 2015 at 18:44 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi Everyone!

My partner and I got engaged at the end of November and have just booked our venue in Grange over sands for 12/09/15!!

So a lot to do in the next 9 months!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with any recommendations or ones to avoid when it comes to suppliers in the and around the lake district? Any advice would be greatly appreciated whether it's photographers, florists, entertainers etc I'm open to all opinions!

Thanks everyone!

Chimene x

Can't help with the local suppliers, but just wanted to say hello and not to worry about the timescale. I did it in 7 months and I know there are people who have done it on a tighter time scale than me!

    Congratulations!!

you'll be fine with 9 months, get a checklist and see what needs doing ASAP like photographer, flowers, dress etc then what can wait a bit longer.

    enjoy! X

Congratulations! I am afraid I am no help with recommendations however like you got engaged in November and getting married in September :-) you'll be fine I am sure, you've done the main bit :-) good luck with all of your planning, bit of a whirlwind feeling isn't it, going from not being engaged to getting married this year!

Congrats! We had 10 months to plan and there have been times that there's been absolutely nothing to do so don't worry about the time scale Smiley smile

The Guides for Brides app is really good - there's a checklist that generates due dates according to your wedding date.

    Hi!

Thanks for the welcome! Melancholie A few people have looked at me a bit funny when I've got 9 months but it's good to know that other people have made it work in less time! :-)

Congratulations to you too Sam&Louise! where are you having the big day? :-)

Thanks for the link Bruce Neville will check it out now!

Thanks LittleLocketanco! Glad to hear people on here think 9 months is enough too! :-)

Congratulations to you too critter1066! Have you decided on a venue? I know it is all a bit manic at the mo! It'll be September in no time! But I'm looking forward to all the planning and list making! :-)

Thanks lolapickle, Makes me feel a bit more at ease now there are a few people on here saying I'll have enough time :-) Thanks for letting me know about the app, I'll check it out now! :-)

    Welcome to Hitched!

A lot to do in 9 months, but it's certainly doable ? We did it in about 9-10 months too ?
