Orton Hall - Experiences?

Hi guys,

I live in a small town in Cambridgeshire where there is a really limited choice when it comes to wedding venues. We will be marrying in a church in my town and so there will be travel to the reception venue involved in the day, so I don't want it to be too far from the church.

At the moment our best option seems to be Orton Hall in Peterborough - I was just wondering if anybody had any experiences with this as a venue, good or bad? Any thoughts at all would be really appreciated.

One of the big things for my OH is what the food is like so if you have had any experience with the wedding catering there I would love to hear them.

    Hello

    I did a wedding make up in Orton Hall and it was gorgeous. They decorated the venue for the wedding beautifully.

    Sadly i was not a guest, so I am not sure about the food. I have done about four weddings there. :-) And from what I have seen, lovely. :-)

    My friend got married there last year and it was lovely. The food was yummy too and the staff were really attentive

    Ive had several brides get married at Orton Hall Hotel and a local photographer showed me some of his shots there recently. The venue is stunning and from all the reports ive heard the food is pretty good too.

    Nice to meet a neighbour, im in Deeping St James, about 7 miles outside Peterborough.

    Hi- I've only just seen this! How exciting!

    We are getting married at Orton Hall in July and have only heard good reviews. We haven't had our menu tasting but went there a couple of weekends ago for our anniversary to have a meal in the restaurant. The food was gorgeous!!! And I'm a real foody and have high expectations.

    My FPIL went to a wedding there before and were raving about the food.

    Where are you in Cambridgeshire?

    Thanks everyone for your responses - all sounds very positive which is good Smiley smile

    We have a viewing next weekend to have a first look round so that will definitely help but it's good to hear everyone has had pretty good experiences so far!

    Rhoslyn - I am in March, the church is there so Peterborough being 45 minutes away is probably the furthest we would go - hopefully I love it!
