So a few weeks ago I posted about my car blowing up and stranding me on a motorway, and it needing a new engine. I've been coping on the bus for a few weeks, and finally decided it wasn't worth getting fixed as it would cost so much, and stuck it on auto-trader this morning thinking we might get an offer in the region we were looking for.
10 mins later a guy says he wants to come buy it today, we can't do that so explain it'll have to be tomorrow. He says thats fine but is worried we'll sell it between now and then to a higher bidder! I assure him we wont- thinking we aren't going to hear anything else!
My phone now won't stop going, OH is being great and answering the calls now to explain we have provisionally sold it, but they are offering ridiculous amounts of money. Now we've discovered we can't find the registration doc. OH is just ringing first guy back to explain this, as we don't want him travelling 80 odd miles to waste his time- giving him the opportunity to back out. I'm not bothered about more money for it, as we made a deal and I will honour that, but really don't want to waste his time. Equally I don't want to turn down lots of offers if he isn't going to want it.
Think I might just turn my phone off for the time being......
