O/T best make up brands for sensitive skin

pandorasbox, 4 June, 2011 at 13:58 Posted on Planning 0 11

Could you rec. me which is the best brand for you? NOT bare minerals please! Tried for a while but it is useless to me and fades or flakes off within minutes.

I use bobbi brown shimmer brick for blusher and eye shadow which is fine, but quite subtle and doesn't last all day so looking for something longer lasting.

I recently tried a rimmel bronzer which screwed my face right up so that is binned, along with a no 17 eye shadow which gave me a rash. I have tried other bobbi brown eye colours but find they just don't last for me.

Maybelline mousse concealer is usually good but again I find is making my skin a bit rashy sometimes, and not good for under eye coverage.

Any tips for concealer, eyeshadow and blusher/bronzer for sensitive skin? TIA

No 7 works well for me - especially for mascara which I react to if it's not ultra gentle x

I'm a recent convert to No 7 products too - make up and skincare and I love it. I even had a reaction to Laura Mercier make up on my wedding day and my make up artist said she'd never heard of anyone reacting to that before. Sensitive skin is a nightmare!

Bare minerals is fab, I always come out in spots with new foundation, but this even helps my skin - the advert for is "make up so pure you can sleep in it"

You can get it from Debenhams

    Clinique?

Almay is pretty good for sensitive skin too, but it's not very exciting colour wise and I don't know where you can get hold of it. Boots used to stock it. That's not very helpful, is it??

Thanks everyone Smiley smile I went to Boots and got the no. 7 lady to do me a basic makeover and got a few products, they do a concealer which is amazing - 3 different shades you can use seperately or blend and it was dead easy so I think I can recreate the look again. (maybe!) I will try the other brands everyone has mentioned if these don't do the trick. Just having a major bad time with skin at the mo being ultra sensitive to every little thing!
