Well im still doing rubbish but I think we can all blame the snow for this weeks gains. I've hardly left the house so no exercise has been done and I've been picking at all the leftover chocolates from xmas.

Hopefully next week will be better for both of us?

I've been rubbish this week, weigh in tomorrow but wont be suprised if i have put on too!

The snow has been an easy excuse, working from home and not venturing out to the supermarket has resulted in a lot of comfort (junkl) food being eaten and no trips to the gym.

New start (again) next week for me!

My Wii fit and my scales disagreed a bit last Sunday but if we assume the higher was right (13.13) then today I am 13.5 and have lost 8 pounds!!?!? I am assuming that actually the lower was right (13.10) but still 5lbs not bad! I have been doing half hour on wii fit most nights and started with WW last week.

I hate Sundays though - counting for sun lunch and the sausage sarnie I just had I have 3.5 points left for the rest of the day....! boo - no wine for me today ☹️

I'm sure we will all do much better next week!!!

I'm looking to lose at least 3lbs this week!! Got my Yoga class Tomorrow which I can't wait for!

The wii fit is certainly not accurate, Not even remotely. I weighed myself and it said I'd lost half a stone(7lbs), when I checked again 2 mins later, I'd gained 9lbs!!

Stick to the household scales!! The pressure points in the Wii fit make it weigh wrong.

Hi, I had already lost 16lbs over about 3months before xmas and thought I had put on over xmas, but weighed myself a couple of days ago and have lost another 2 lbs. The big belly was just bloatedness I think, but hey, 7 months to go till the wedding day and hopefully another stone will be gone.

Ah I've had a mixed week really. I couldn't go to weigh in last week because of the snow but I weighed at home and had put on half a stone over xmas so it was probably a good thing that I didn't go! My focus this week is on getting that half stone back off and being back to what I was at last weigh in. So far ok - been really good and really organised with taking lunch to work but last night my friend came over and we devoured alot of pizza and garlic bread from dominoes, complete with dips, accompanied by Strongbow!! Think this will probably have undone the good work but I'm gonna spend the rest of the week trying really hard. Hopefully it'll be ok.

Keep going everyone. We'll support each other and get there. It'll be worth the hard work x

Oh I've done the whole calorie counting thing and hated it. I'm doing slimming world now and love it - no counting or weighing! And yes, everyone deserves a rest. You'll never do it long term if you aren't flexible with yourself from time to time.

    Ah thanks Bailey-wailey!

To those calorie counting I would hand on heart say 'bin it!'. For me I became far too obsessed about food when I did that and ended up putting weight on coz I tended to sneak food then. I haven't even stopped eating foods that aren't really good for me (I never say 'bad' food either) all I have done is put half the amount of food on my plate than what I used to and I eat more slowly. When I'm full, I stop eating but I know that I can eat a bit more of my dinner later if I get peckish. Also I try to put my knife and fork down between every 2 bites (I tried putting them down after every bite, but I got sick of having to pick them up all the time!). So I eat what I want when I want but stop when i feel full.

I hope I don't sound preacher-ish, I just thought it might help by giving people a few more ideas.

Paul McKenna teaches a similar sort of thing - always eat slowly, chew loads, concentrate on what your eating so you know when you're full, then stop eating. OH lost about one and a half stone doing this a couple of years back.

Personally I haven't got the patience, Im always in a rush but I really should make more of an effort (she says as she finishes her ginger cake & custard)?

I weighed myself New Years Day & not only had I put on the 8lbs that I'd lost since Sept but an extra 2lbs taking me to my heaviest ever. But I've lost 2lbs this week & as long as I continue to lose 1 or 2lbs a week thats perfectly fine with me.

Its a new week this week (& probably a more normal week as well!) so good luck everyone & may the will power be with you ?

They say 1-2lbs a week is healthy. Just think, if you lost 1lb a week for the next year you'd be nearly 4 stone lighter!!!!!! ?

The thing is I know that I can lose 1 or 2 a week but its keeping up that momentum after the intital water loss (then the hardest thing of all - keeping it off!!!) but I think we all have an incentive to keep us on track. Fingers crossed for everyone

Well done those who lost, and to the others, never mind just try to focus on the week ahead! ?

I go to Slimming World on Wednesday so dont know how ive done yet. (i dont like to weigh myself at home as all scales can be different!) Ive had a good week so Im pretty confident it'll be a loss! (fingers crossed) Ive been really focused and went back to basics. I love it cos i can eat so much real food and dont have to count or measure hardly anything. Only ten pound to go to get me back to my target of 3.5 stone lost!

Well done Elizabeth, that's really good! Where are you off on holiday in May?

My diet starts today! Last year I lost a stone and a half over the summer, I've weighed myself today and I'm back to square one, all the weight has gone back on!! I have been comfort eating a bit over the past few months as I've been worried about a family member and I certainly enjoyed all the yummy xmas food too!!

Anyway, about to do some aerobics in a mo and am starting yoga this week. Healthy eating starts today!

I'm probably going on holiday with my husbands family in the summer and really want to shed a lot of weight before then! ?

Ooh, I do fancy Fuerteventura, the beaches look lovely. I've been to a nice part of Tenerife a few times but have fancied trying another canary island. You've done so well with your slimming, 3 and a half stones! I lost that a few years ago when I was following Slimming World, it all went back on again over the years though! I'm rubbish!! ? Oh well, day one of new year diet, here goes!

Claire, sounds fun, I think it's good to relax it a little at the weekend otherwise you'll go mad! I love unplanned, spontaneous nights - they're always the best!

Ok, weekly weigh in update. I'm sooooo upset. Went to weigh in tonight and I've PUT ON 5lbs!!! I left in tears. I've been so good, really tried hard and can honestly say, hand on my heart, that with the exception of some pizza on saturday night I haven't cheated. I'd found some focus and put my all into it and for what??? I'm now officially 3lbs heavier than when I started going to class!!

What's the point? Losing weight shouldn't be this hard. To top it off my teeth are playing me up, I'm in major pain and I'm feeling really unwell with it so I'm really cheesed off.

Sorry to moan girlies but this week's weigh in was horrible ?

I know hun, thank you. It's exactly what I'd say to someone else too! Just hard - it's an ongoing battle I have with my weight since my second child. Back on it again today (not that I fell off it in the first place) and i'm writing everything down so we'll see what happens this week x

I used to get my biggest losses after my biggest gains....allgold don't give up!! Change one thing at a time if dieting is a battle for you, nothing worse than trying to do everything at once. Succeed at one thing, and the rest will follow Smiley smile

I joined ww online monday as I've got a stone to shift (baby weight 5 years on haha) This week so far I've lost 2lbs but need to make sure that I am good all weekend...especially when I go to see the cake man tomorrow! eek!

Very determined though as I realised how quickly the wedding was going to come round given that last year just flew by.

so 2lbs lost....12 to go. I wouldn't mind shifting 5-6 pounds before my dress arrives...although don't really know when that will be so better get my skates on! I am desperate to get back to the gym, the past few weeks have been SO busy for me....but I am definitely going over the weekend.

well done to all that have lost this week, and to those who didn't....we all have those weeks, its how we bounce back from them that make us better!

Oh tell me about it, my teeth are really bad this week so I'm reduced to eating mushy foods only!! Wonder what that'll look like on the scales on wednesday??

So, plough on. I'm much the same. Nearly half a stone down, many more to go! You should be fine as long as you're sensible with your food this week.

And thanks Lauralil, I know you're right. I've not given up yet!!!!!

I started my diet on monday and weighed myself yesterday morning and have managed to lose 6.5lbs!! I'm amazed as I'm usually a very slow loser, around a 1lb to 2lb a week kinda gal!! I realise you usuallly lose more in the first week though. I've been strict with small low fat, low calorie meals, aerobics and yoga. Tried yoga for the first time this week, it was bloody hard, more diffucult than I thought it would be!! Don't think I'm very supple but hopefully that will improve. Had a treat tonight, indian takeaway but stuck to chicken tikka with small amount of rice and some veggie curry and back on the diet again tomorrow. I like to make Sat night my treat night to keep me motivated!! ?

Well done everyone with the weight loss!!

3lbs is really good though Elizabeth!! You should really only be losing a few lbs a week, to ensure that it stays off!! Well done!

I'll be lucky if I've lost anything this week, will weigh myself soon though.....
