OT Does anyone drive a Beetle?

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 2 November, 2009 at 20:17 Posted on Planning 0 4

Considering we dont really have an OT board here anymore (10hr wait to have a Q answered....) I wondered if anyone here had a beetle. I am eyeing one up and hubbys found one in England that he'd go and get for me. However, I cant test drive one as automatic ones dont seem to exist this side of the border. Just wanted some opinions.

Ive sat in one and loved the low down windows, I hate not being able to see the bonnet so to speak...... but my spacial awareness isnt quite there yet and given i'm only learning how to park my corsa im wondering what difficulties I might have......

any opinions appreciated x

I don't have one but i'm being nosey and oooo new car! What colour is it? My baby is a silver C3, so much bigger than my KA (which sadly died ☹️) There's a website... which car... or something like that, they have reviews (or i'm making that up!)

Hubbys found one in autotrader, 2nd hand like........ but i didnt want anotherrrrrrr silver car and hes found a red one. We dont know where it is though....he called the owner tonight but no ansa. My little corsa is 10 yrs old and im needing something a bit more robust for the scottish weather and the long journeys to school...found myself getting buffeted about in the winds today, not fun. And the lack of air con means steamy windows when the heatings on!

I have a Beetle (that I need to sell!!!) - it is Blue and fabulous. They are great cars. My Bug has heated seats - great for Scottish weather!!!

I am in Berkshire so maybe a little far for you. Mine is an 03 reg. I am the 2nd owner.

The bonnet you get used to really quickly. They have great visibility and are really stable to drive. I love my bug and I'm only selling her cos I now have a company car. I will be sad to see her go [:'(]
