OT Does your OH have any concept about....

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 4 January, 2010 at 12:31 Posted on Planning 0 21

Fresh towels???????????

Keeps taking towels out of the cupboard and using them once or for the oddest thing. OR takes the fresh hand towel from the bathroom to mop up something with or to catch his toenails??

its frickin infuriating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its the machine that washes them and not me but im sick of seeing wet towels hanging over every chair and door frames to dry, as i keep up with his need to use every single one!!

and dont get me started on the 'Those were wedding present towels!' speech......

As OH doesn't bother his butt to put a washing on he has no Idea where the fresh towels are kept. I just leave one out for him every day. lol If he bothered to look though he'd see they're in the cupboard in the Kitchen where my tins are kept. lol Shows how often he blooming cooks as well!!!!! lol

Oh hubby is very very domesticated. He just doesnt THINK.

Nor does he deem towels as anything to worry about........

mine did before we met - no sign of domestication though unfortunately. He'd still be living by the sniff test if I didnt wash his clothes!!

My OH is some Damn fussy about HIS Towel i have to steal it away to wash it, dry it and hang it back before he even notices its ever missing rather like a kids comforter!!! Apparently HIS towel doesnt drop fluff, every other towel we own of every make model etc sheds its fluff which he doesnt like, hence HIS towel.

Woe betide when THE towel gets worn out ....Men arent they funny creatures!!! Mines anal about tidyness in terms of cleaning and shining taps and making sure glasses and mug handles are lined up but yet his wardrobe is every inch of floor space possible and when that runs out he starts with the doors!!! Love em....

I'm with *Tinkerbelle*; My OH is just as, if not more so, tidy and clean than me.

We have two sets of towels on a wash / use basis and he would only use the ones that are out. Or use the others whilst putting the others on to wash. He's a gem!

Oddly hubby doesnt know how to use the washing machine - its a right fancy computerised one - but i think hes scared of shrinking my clothes and doing something horrendously wrong with them so its best that i do the washing..... his cleaning is better than mine and is cooking is.....well much better coz i dont cook.......

its just these little things that wind me up....no thought for the person whos havng to load and unload the machine all the time! lol

OH is the same with towels and other domestic tasks.............i have to ask him to do things before he does them though occasionally he will do things just cos. and he knows (just about!) how to use the machine...providing im there to oversee everything lol.

dont even get me started ont he towels!! cos he's so tall, 6ft 2, he gets out two of the largest towels out of the draw for his body AND his HAIR!!!! then i go to get one out and there aren't any left!! grrrr

That's what I thought but things have gradually got worse the longer we've been together. H can clean, cook, do everything really and when we first moved in together he was really good but now I just think he's got used to having someone there to do everything.

Most mornings now I find the wet towel used for his shower left on the nicely made bed. Makes me so angry. But I don't think me going on about it makes any difference.

Oh and toothpicks. I find these EVERYWHERE!

Does anyone wonder whether they just do this to wind us up??

Short answer yes lol and i forgot about that, leaving wet towels on the bed, he did that till i told him off lol. OH is famous for lkeaving a sock trail...he did this whilst we were at his mums and so did his dad ha ha. if you cant find OH follow the socks and there he is. i found one pair balled up in the middle of the kitchen floor the other week, i guess he was aiming for the washing machine????

Mine HAS to have a clean towel, for his body, hair & then one to wrap around him everytime, night & morning! Does my head in, my tumble drier is constantly on and it like a hair salon with all the towels either washing or drying!

    Very good with towels.

Does, however, seem to believe a magical fairy folds all the blankets up & sorts the cushions on the sofas out.

OMG - the sock thing drives me mad! OH is always taking his socks off in random places - it's so embarrassing especially when we're visiting friends.... Do boys just get hot feet or something? My best friend's fella does it too.... So odd....

He takes them off complaining his feet are hot but the minute i go to pick them up and put them in the wash basket or the machine i get the ineveitable whinge "i was wearing those"" or "but my feet will get cold in a bit!" in a bit!! when is that exactly?? it is always when i go to pick them up!! and if i say put your slippers on then i get this "yeah but you love me!!" and i do, wouldn't change the grumpy angel for anything ?
