O/T: Fiiiinally have a place of our own!!!!!!

mummy2hannah, 11 November, 2009 at 18:50 Posted on Planning 0 48

WE FINALLY HAVE A FLAT!!?

Got a letter off the council today confirming it!! Have to ring up tomorrow morning to arrange a viewing, but I'm 99.9999% sure we're going to take it!!

As most of you know, I've been living with the inlaws for over a year and we're all getting ontop of eachother!! It's just around the corner, so close enough for babysitters lol but far enough to give us all some space!!

YAAAYYY!! xxxx

Thats Great M2H. Close to the Inlaws even better. Mine also live round the corner, so the cats have a sitter when we're out. haha Not sure when we're having kids for them to babysit. haha My folks stay a good 20 mins away in the car though. ☹️ x

Max - have to ring up tomorrow to arrange a viewing and I'll find out all that stuff then! I don't care at the minute....we finally have somewhere!!! woohoo!! It was late when we opened the letter because H2B and his dad have the same name, so I didn't want to open it!

How's the bump coming along? Any pregnancy niggles yet? xxx

Congratulations! I hope you like it. (even if i suspect you would take it if you didn't just to have your own place!)

Sounds like great news, hope it doesn't need too much doing to it. At least you don't have to move in straight away if it needs decorating.

Niggles? Loads!! Im stressing cos I cant see the doc for another week and a bit and im scared I'll get there and he says im being daft and im not actually pregnant (is that normal?)

Its all new to me - OH bought a book but its really big, so I keep looking in stages instead! And I have an app for my phone about it!!

I might be asking you odd questions in the next few weeks M2H xx

Lol they won't be odd questions (well, perhaps lol) but it's understandable!!

when you go to see the docs, all they'll do is make you do a urine sample and then give you an appointment to see the midwife! which will probably be at 7-8weeks. At that appointment I was given an NHS pregnancy book, and an Emma's Diary book - it tells you everything week by week from a real persons percpective! Then at the 12week scan you get your first Bounty pack (you get 3 in total, the packs are crap - the book's canny good)! So don't spend loads on books lol, but have a look at https://www.bounty.com/ as their forums are like 'Due in: June' etc! So loads of people around your stage that'll be able to help you out more than I can!

oh and as for it being normal if you wonder you're still pregnant? i thought that up until the 20weeks scan lol!

oh, your MW appts will probably be:

    7-8 weeks: booking in
    12 weeks: scan
    15weeks: check up
    20weeks: scan
    25weeks: check up
    28weeks: blood tests
32weeks: check up...and from there it's usually every 2 weeks!

    Sorry I've waffffflled!! lol xxx

Thats great news! You'll have to let us know how it goes tomorrow then!

(on an unrelated note, was it you that posted about your OH going to the wrestling and tickets for Frankie Boyle? That could have been my OH! He used to love the wrestling (have to confess, I used to watch it too, every Saturday morning when I was at Uni! The past couple of weekends I've seen him come across it again when channel flicking and he'll be sitting watching it again! And we both love Frankie Boyle, OH is reading his book just now and he's laughed all the way through!) x

Yay ? I commented on FB but thought I comment on here too!!
I was in a simliar situation to you, lived with inlaws and hated it! So ended up getting a private place that we couldn't really afford as I was at uni. We now have a council flat and I love it! But..... when we first went to view it I nearly turned it down as it was a right state inside. But a bit of TLC and it's lovely now. So don't be put off tomorrow if it's not perfect inside... a bit of hard work and it will be looking lovely.

    Good luck xxxx

    Yay I love it!!! ?

It does need a good bit doing to it, but with abit of tlc it'll be lush!! The kitchen's huge, and the living room is a decent size! Our room's an ok size and Hannah's room is plenty big enough for her!! We're on the upstairs aswell, so no listening to people walking around above us...and our neighbour went to school with h2b!

We get the keys tomorrow at 10am, not entirely sure when we'll be moving in though!

But yay we fiiinally have a place of our own!! ?

    xxx
