O/T - Hand cream!

Chidders, 25 February, 2011 at 10:04 Posted on Planning 0 14

Hi all,

Random question, but I need a new hand cream and wondered if anyone can recommend a cheap but effective one. Some of the cheap ones I have tried in the past have been so greasy, I havent been able to hold anything for 2 hours!!!

Thanks xx

I have tried most and the best one bar far is L'Occitane Hand Cream. The big tube isn't cheap at £17 but lasts months. They do a smaller tube for £6 but again will last ages. It's really thick and excellent for dry skin/ excema.

I love the Body Shop's hemp hand cream. My hands tend to crack and bleed in the winter if I don't use it

I love Elizabeth Arden, but again it's not cheap.

I've head you can use normal Vaseline in small amounts to protect and repair. I know my best friend loves the pink Vaseline hand and nail creme too.

    Lush - Helping Hands

My hands look like crazy paving normally, but this stuff seems to have sorted it out. I think it was about £5.

Seconded. The only one I've tried which doesn't leave my hands greasy for hours afterwards. It comes in a nicely-sized bottle with a pump.

I suffer from dry hands so you'll always find me carting a tube of Soap and Glory's Hand Food about, love the stuff! Makes my hands soft again and smells gorgeous too.

Norweigen (sp?) formula is best for my dry hands, you only need a little and the effects last all day.

Vaseline hand and nail cream (pink tube) absoutely brilliant, not overly expensive, absorbs quickly without leaving a residue, and brilliant for nails too (i have really dry skin, prone to cracking and this totally eleminates it)

I would definitely agree with this one. It's the only one I'll use.
