I got sent home from work today because my hay fever is so bad. Went to the doctors and have got eye drops, nose spray and tablets. There is an injection you can have which apparently is amazing so might be worth asking your gp about that?

Hi, I have bad hayfever and at the bmoment it is horrendous (hence me planning a September wedding) I really sympathise with you. I have tried loads of different ones and think Benadryl are the best for me. But is soo bad at the moment I have resorted to taking two types (sure it can't be good but it has worked today?) Zirtek one a days topped up with a benadryl- they have different active ingredients. I asked my doctor for the injection but he doesn't like giving it to girls as it contains steroids- basically what he wouldn't give his daughter he wouldn't give me. I didn't like nasal sprays when I tried them, it seemed to run down tthe back of my throat and tasted horrible.

Hope you find something that works.

    xx

Try a range of different ones. I find certain antihistamines work on me and others don't. Last year boots of tescos own brand were all that worked, although this year My hayfever seems to have disappeared! Yay!

Not sure how much truth there is in it but if you can get some, eat local honey everyday, the theory is that because you're putting the pollen that causes the hayfever into you each day your body can get used to it.

I've been suffering really badly over the last wee while too and ended up getting Numark's own Hayfever and allergy tablets and they helped superbly, they're really cheap too!!

Hope you manage to get some relief soon.

I suffer really badly from Hayfever and the normal tablets like Clarityn which you get from chemists don't do anything for me. I tried the injection last year and that didn't do much either but a couple of weeks ago we were in Netto and I saw hayfever tablets for 79p. For that price I thought I'd give them a go and I must say they really are fab. I take one when I get up in the morning's and it doesn't start to wear off until late in the evening just before I go to bed. I'm not to sure of the name but they are in a green or blue box and are by a company called Galpharm.
