... against rubbish cover versions of amazing songs, and have therefore downloaded jeff buckley's version of hallelujah as a statement of protest (despite owning it on CD, and actually preferring the kate voegele version).

don't get me wrong, alex deserved to win x-factor, she was the best by a mile, i even voted for her, but i really *really* hate her version of the song.

that is all.

ps i am aware of the irony that jeff buckley's version is a cover itself. it is noted.

Don't get me started on the Leona Lewis version of Run .... <shiver>

I adore the Rufus Wainwright version of Hallelujah - gives me goosebumps ... hadn't heard the Jeff B one until today when they played it on Radio 2 ....

Leona's SP version when done in the radio 1 live lounge was amayyyyyyzing coz it was soooo unexpected and everyone called in wanting to hear it again and again. But then she ruined it by taking it seriously and making a video of it and 'claiming' it for her own.........

And I prefer Comedy Dave's My Lamb Bhuna... (Radio 1 website)

Me too! They have done some ace parodies recently - Lorry Driver and Adrian Dixon stand out for me.....

lamb bhuna - this made me laugh soooo much!

on new year's day there's going to be a 12hr (recorded, of course) chris moyles show to celebrate 5yrs - there's going to be loads of their parodies on it apparently. i like chihuahua!

(whenever i hear the alisha dixon song, i always end up singing the adrian dixon words over the top....)

Me too, I woke up to it this morning. I love the Chris Moyles show parodies. I wish they would replay Santa, their version of Eminems Stan. THe best so far this year has to be Somerset boy!

Their parodies are genius. If for nothing else because my OH looks really blank when the real songs are on because he only knows the parody versions!!! V. funny. ?

Wooohoooo! I'm not the only fan then.... (I think we should get rachel to join hitched for her impending nuptials lolol).

I liked camilla ice too and ive d/loaded adiran dixon.... and lorry driver is a firm fave.

I'm listening to yesterdays show at the moment and then I'll listen to todays as I slept through most of it.

Least fave cover version - has to be All Saint's cover of RHCP under the bridge. SACRILEGE!!

And also Leona Lewis' cover of run. Just plain wrong
