O/T I JUST WON 1 OF THE COMPS!!!......

Hey!

Just got a phone call from one of the competitions i entered through hitched and I won!

Makeover and photo shoot in London ?

Has anyone ever won anything on hitched before? The lady assures me there are NO hidden catches but Ive never won anything before and keep thinkin u get nothing for free!

But Yay I won lol x

    I didn't think anyone won competitions on hitched or other weddings sites before as nobody ever used to recognise the winners.

    But recently we've had FYEO shoots won on here and my friends friend won a trip to Cuba with YAYW...so I'm beginning to think there may be hope yet... but probably not for me ?

    Congrats though sounds great. i did a makeover and photoshoot once in London when I was at Uni...I bet your experience will be faaaarrrr better than mine.!!

    The catch is if u want a photo u have to buy it u dont get a copy with the winning. So theres no way i would go to london from glasgow spend all that time gettin hair make up etc done photo shoot n then just come home with no pics! They wouldnt tell me how much it is to purchase just said the prices are all different and depending what effects are used?

    Hmmm sounds to me like a marketing tactic a few photo companies use - they will give away the photoshoot or offer it very cheaply but they make their money on the pics - expecting you to spend £100s on them. I've also heard feedback the sales guys on the day are very persuasive in getting you to buy the pics. This very well might not be the case here but I am very wary of this sort of thing.

    Hello,

    There was a similar posting regarding competitions at the end of last week. I just wanted to let you all know that the competition winners from all hitched.co.uk competitions and newsletter mini competitions are always posted on my blog - https://www.hitched.co.uk/chat/blogs/planwithfran/

    Regarding the most recent FYEO competition, there was 1 winner, and then everyone was sent an email directly from FYEO offering a runner up prize.
