O/T - just got a great job after being unemployed for 3 months!

cat26, 9 August, 2009 at 21:51 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi Girls

You may remember my contract wasn't renewed at the end of April, and having moved from Birm back to Brighton I have been searching for work ever since - as well as having my wedding mid June and going on honeymoon with no dosh! Last week I had 3 job offers (like buses)! And I chose the one I wanted.

Got a great job as Account Manager for a Marketing Agency, just 35 mins from home and get to grow the business and have my own client! Start in 2 weeks.

Just wanted to let you know and thank you for your thoughts when I was getting annoyed and down with being unemployed. x

    Aww thanks girls

snow patroller - a friend of mine gave me some advice (she works for one of the top job searching sites) post your CV on all of the cv searching sites (monster, cv library, jobsite etc), but in your header and footer write keywords ie. for me it was i.e. Marketing, SEO, budget in white font. Therefore the job agencies when they search on keywords for finding a suitable CV will also pick up the keywords in your "invisible" header and footer and your CV will be at the top of a list as you have more of those keywords listed than other CV's.

Hope that helps, it sucks being unemployed (I got myself a £7 an hour part-time work in meantime - its not taxing but it gave me some confidence again) but the market does seem to be improving x lots of luck x

    Hello twinnie ?

Brilliant news, I'm so glad you've found a job that sounds right up your street.

Hope married life is treating you well. I worried I would be bored with not having any wp'ing to do so have thrown myself into lots of other things, and now running round like a loony!

    C xx
