O/T New York....anyone been?

sparkles1984, 11 May, 2010 at 19:47 Posted on Planning 0 5

So planning a surprise mini holiday to New York next year, last holiday before we start planning our family.

Can anyone suggest where I can book a reasonably cheap trip for about 4 days? Looking to go next April/May time.

Thanks x

I just spent ages writing a nice review of the hotel we stayed in, then checked the website so I could give you the address, and found it had closed! Oh dear.....

    Scrap that then!!

    Sorry! Smiley atonished

Try affinia gardens - good location and much cheaper than anything nearby. it's more a serviced apartment than hotel, but relaly nice xx

Try the Novotel Times Square, I stay there last Feb with my hubsand & girls.

Is was room only, but it was clean, rooms were a good size, location was great - Times sq a 2 mintue walk, Central PK 5 mintue walk.

There was shows on your door step, plenty of local shops and resturants - plenty of Starbucks!!!!

Look at trip adviser there are good and bad reports, but i found it good, it was recommend by a good friend and she has been to the hotel 4 times

If you need more info, just let me know.

Hope you enjoy your trip, i want to go back soon,.

I went to New York last year, its where i got engaged so very special to me Smiley smile

    Try going on expedia.

We had 5 nights, and it cost us just over £1000 for the 2 of us.

That was for return flights, airport transfers and 5 nights at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Its defaintly worth looking on expedia

We stay at a hotel called Ink 48 it was out on 11 Ave and was about a ten min walk to time Sq. It was very new when we were there and therefore pretty cheap but it was lovely. Would highly recommend it.

Hiya, thanks for all your comments. I was told to look on expedia as when I looked at Thompson I could find cheap holidays but then no flights to go with them. Ill have a proper look when OH is not about to be nosy!
