O/T Pet sitters!

foosey, 12 February, 2012 at 15:19 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi

So we had a petsitter organised for our wedding day, all be it one of our friends who said she'd stay in our house while we went on honey moon, well this has since changed as yesterday she told me she is pregnant and her baby will be due the week before my wedding, also meaning she may not be at my wedding or my hen do!!

I now need to find a professional to do the job as noone else can help me, i was wondering if anyone knows how much is a reasonable price and also if anyone knows of any petsitters in Kent.

Thankyou in advance

Ooh, good question, I want the answer, too! We're getting a dog this summer, so we'll have to figure out what to do next year with it, and I'm in Kent as well. So I second this question!

We have a pet sitter for my cat. She's £10 for two visits a day (20-30 mins each). I've tried 3 different pet sitters and found the quality of care varies, but the price is usually about the same as this. I'm in Manchester, not sure how much that changes the price.

    Hope that helps a little

Have 4 nights away coming up...Home visit for 11 rats, 1 mouse, 1 bearded dragon and tropical fish plus him looking after 2 budgies and 1 ferret in his house comes to a total of £80. Thats based in West Herts although he is travelling from Essex, so may give you some idea of pricing to expect...

Our friend used to pet sit our dog, but when we got a second it seemed unfair ( they are quite big dogs so walking together is impossible!)

We made the heartwrenching descision to put them in a kennel, went to one we had been recommenede whilst we had a long weekend away and they loved it Smiley smile So they will be having their own holiday Smiley smile

I did look at a service where your dog moves into a dog sitters house, but this was more expensive than the kennel! Have a look at local services, and get reccomendations for kennels.
