O/T - Pressie ideas pls

*porsche*, 4 August, 2010 at 10:39 Posted on Planning 0 10

It's my friends b.day next week and I am really struggling to find a gift for her.

She is the girl who has everything, and is quite posh and likes the finer things in life, so I can't go cheapy on her.

She bought me a £60 bracelet from Karen Millen last year, so don't really want to do jewellry; she has designer shoes, handbags and purses coming out of her ears. I don't do vouchers and we are going out for dinner next w-end, so can't even buy her another meal. Want to spend approx £50.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Hi there! :-)

I know you didn't want jewellery, but I bought my CBM and piper friend a Thomas Sabo fresh water pearl bracelet, I bought my sister emma a silver "E" charm and we gave our piper the same gift with a treble cleft charm... they LOVED them,... they came in a wee desinged hat box presentation case and cost £60.00 for bracelet and one charm...

    have added some pics :-)

She already has one of those hun with an initial charm. I did ask her hubby about getting some more charms but he'd already asked her and she didn't want any more.

I know you said you don't do vouchers, but what about a gift card for a pampering session? We bought my friend this of her 30th, she got a pedicure and manicure and loved it.

You could get a massage one perhaps? Or what about two tickets to a show/musical?

Stop thinking of a gift that is expensive in monetry terms and think of something more original - think about putting an album together of pictures from when you first met to now, or something like that! Ive done that for my Best friends 21st bday this year becuase it was inexpensive and it has more meaning than a bought present. xx

Vikster - I think buying make-up for someone is quite hard, but will have a look at maybe a gift set, if they do such a thing.

    P. Gems - I've asked her hubby what perfume she has, so this may be an option - thanks.

    F. Bye - Spa day might be a good idea, if I can get something like that for the price - thanks.

Woo Woo - I'm having a pamper party on Sat actually, but she has massages and false tans, false eyelashes etc on a weekly basis, it's not a treat for her plus I bought her hubby tkts to a show for the 2 of them last month, thanks anyway.

HH - I've only known her 3 yrs, not really something she would appreciate really.

Thanks for the ideas tho girls, keep them coming.

Ah that is an issue. What about something unusual - have you looked at www.gettingpersonal.co.uk?
