if you are on the pill...can't you just take another pack without a break?

Yes its called Norethisterone and you can only get it on prescription.

You'll need to take it 3 days before you're due on and then take 3 pills everyday. Your period will start again about 3 days after you finish taking them.

I ususally just play around with my pill taking(i.e. don't have a break or increase the length of the break) accordingly...

Looby, you shouldn't really increase your break. After 7 days you're no longer protected.

When we booked our honeymoon I made a spreadsheet to work out when I'd have totm and it dropped in the middle of the honeymoon, so I've run packs together a couple of times over the last few months to ensure totm will finish a week before the wedding and not recur until after we get back from Rome.

I ran packs together for years. Friend of mine was a doctor in a family planning clinic and she did the same with the running the packs together long term so I figured it was okay. Changed to the POP some time ago and it had the wonderful side effect of stopping my periods fully.

Don't know what I'll do when I start trying for kids, it's been so long since I've had a period I wouldn't know what to do with one! Lol

You can just start the next pack straight away. If I remember correctly you only actually need to have 4 periods per year (what they told me whe I was on the injection).

    See your GP

As much as one regime works for one woman, it may not work for you. Only your GP knows about your allergies, and other medical issues that might effect you and chaging your family planning

So see your GP, go in plenty of time (months before) and follow the advice given

Def go and see your doc or family planning clinic. My mum is a family planning nurse and she says its fine to run packs together of certain types of pill. The reason the break/period was built in was so that in the 1950's when it was invented the pill was accepted. The period you have while on a pill is really a fake period as you haven't ovulated.

i did it for years and its been a shock to the system having to deal with periods now that we are trying to conceive No2. Highly recommend pregnany and breastfeeing - a year with no pills or periods woop woop!!!
