The new football manager PC game unfortunately. He is getting me perfume and that is it this year were not going mad like in previous years, most of our Xmas spends will go on our son who is almost 2
We are not spending much this year for Christmas (Or our next birthday for that matter) with the wedding coming up.
So far I have got him a fob watch (Y'know the sort nurses wear on their top) as he can't wear a watch to work, a camper van keyring with his name on as we're hiring a camper for the Wedding so it's a cheesy present lol and I've had a picture of his cat turned into a cartoon by Becci on here and I'm having it made into a big poster which I'll frame for his office, he's gonna love it!
I am also getting him a teapot as that is what he said he wanted for Christmas. I'll also get him the usual comic book type T-shirts and maybe some sweeties!
After the wedding we're a bit poor, so we've decided to keep to a budget and only do joke pressies (some of his family are joining in too. i am really looking forward to xmas day!) These are just some of the things i've seen
My hubby is really hard to buy for. Every year we agree we are either not going to buy each other presents or we set a limit. He tends to be disappointed with everything I get but the problem is, we live in a world where if we really want something, we buy it. In the good ole days, CD's and DVD's were great presents but now, if you want music, you will either buy the CD with your weekly shop or you will download it on iTunes!! I could buy clothes however he works for a men's retailers which gives a 50% discount so that is out!
I have decided to go all out this year and I am buying him a brand new shiny red sports car... a mouse that is in the shape of a brand new shiny red sports car that is!!!!!!!! That is just one of his stocking fillers but I will be watching this space for ideas as I am all out!
Its really hard with my OH as his birthday is a week before xmas! For xmas so far i've bought him a race day experience. I can think of lots of other little things he wants but unfortunately i've given those ideas to friends and family for birthday ideas for him. so i kind've have to wait and see wht he gets for his birthday before i go looking for other wee bits.
I've got him some clothes, converse, aftershave, chocs, a miami ink book and a few stocking fillers, including kama sutra playing cards. I got him these before I got up-duffed, so he might have to wait awhile before using them ?
We were just going to gte for the kids this year, but i can't resist buying people christmas pressies.
Mine has been overly spoiled this year due to him being away last Xmas and last Birthday, and knowing he will be away next Xmas and for his 21st birthday.
So far he has an Xbox 360 with Kinnect and the new COD game (as recommended by his friend), A hoody, aftershave he has been after, 2 biiig tolerones, 2 new T shirts, some spongebob boxers, new PJ bottoms, electric toothbrush, shaving kit and a stocking full of goodies / silly treats - Jelly beans, sticky sweets, a selection of thorntons goodies and a chocloate personalised gift tag (£1 from thorntons - so cool!).
The one thing I haven't got him yet is the one thing that we said was most important this year - a card!
If I had the money i'd really also like to get him tickets for a tour of Wembley stadium (he has never seen the inside of a footy stadium- how odd!!). a track day in an Audi R8 and he would like a Tank day experience so that he can share that with me!
Well I paid for his new tattoo (a cover up), as an early Christmas pressie, but I will also get him a couple of books and a hat for him to open on the day
I have got him....... a 1tb external hard drive (for backing up photos and college work)
Some PJ bottoms with buzz lightyear on, the deposit for his Glasto ticket, a set of fake moustaches (he would love a moustache but it just does not grow right)
He got an early pressie on Sunday in the shape of a baby Guinea Pig to join the pair we already have, he is a big softie and is madly inlove with her already :-)
OH birthday is 29th november *groan* so am alwasy stuck for gift ideas!! this year im getting him a xbox 360 with knect for his birthday (as we will be super wedding saving Jan onwards!) and for chrimbo some bits..so far this is a new bag for work, a belt hes been harping on about for about 6mths, a new shaver...superman dressing gown and slippers
We agreed to not go mad this year, and then he told me he wanted a PS3 he is 30 btw!! I said fair enough but he would have to buy me some new Ugg's, ok so I've drew the short straw for now but Ill have my sights on something else dont worry!
Haha Claire - we also set a budget this year, £200 was our very top spend and that was a treat considering him missing last/next Xmas etc. But then, he wanted the Xbox and COD, at £350.
I've told him I just cant afford and that i've already spent £150 of his allowance (which is true!) and to back it up I got an "out of stock" email from Tesco over the weekend for his xBox, it all adds to the suprise.! hehe.
On a serious note, I have no idea what to buy him. He always gets cufflinks from me but I think after 5 years he has enough now. I might get him tickets for Tottenham and clothes of some sort.
I asked mine. He told me nothing but then when I said he had to have something he suggested a new polo shirt for dress down day and some more socks! Mr CB is so not materialistic!
Wowsers, Mrs A to B. Boxes there are £70k - £130k. Why not get your fella some socks and donate the money to charity? If I were in his position, I'd run the box through the company and let you spend your dad's cash on something worthwhile! Still, each to their own.
My H is a leelte bit of a geek so I have got him this: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9245598/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CGifts+and+hobbies%7C14417351/c_2/3%7C15701511%7CNovelty+gifts%7C14417403/c_3/4%7Ccat_14417403%7COther+novelty+gifts%7C14417404.htm?_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:9245598%7Ccat:christmas+%26+gifts+%3E+novelty+gifts+%3E+other+novelty+gifts
Hopefully he'll love it - his brother will if he doesn't!
Other bits range from a watch, jumper, aftershave. Nothing amazing here! Trying to save money for his 30th which is 3 months after Xmas.
