O/T When do you....

My mums putting hers up tonight. I always wait until the 1st of Dec, but we're having our engagement party on the 5th and my sis is moving house so my mums excuse is she won't have time to put it up that week. lol

I have however updated my Ipod to include 5 or 6 christmas Albums!! I LOVE xmas!!! lol

Well I usually go for mid-December time. I always say I'm going to adopt the american thanksgiving thing and put the tree up for the end of November but haven't thus far

I say put it up whenever you like. I don't know about you but it takes me quite a while to put mine up so I want to enjoy it for as long as poss

A few days before Christmas! As much as I love the tree I can't stand the space it takes up and our cats kinda love trees a bit too much so if we put it up to early it would be naked by Christmas as they would knock all the baubles and pines off!

Lol we have put ours up today!!!! no other decs though, in all fairness we had bought it today and it was to see if it fit in the room we did have to move stuff about and thought we may as well leave it up!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!! x

We usually put our tree up the first weekend in December but I think its gonna depend on OH's shifts this year cos he works away - we may need to postpone til the weekend after.

Last year our cat Bailey climbed into the tree and only poked her head out when we were feeding Rambo. I found a xmas bauble behind the wardrobe the other day, Bailey kept knocking them off and stealing my ribbons!! So I need new decs this year!!

We did record it on my mobile as it was soooo funny, but my phone didn't save it ☹️

Good idea! Mine's going up second weekend in December.

That would have been so funny to see. My kitten used to sleep in the branches and eat the lights and because he was white his mouth glowed! Not very safe but funny.

Hmmm we are not having on here this year as we are away skiing on the 23rd till the 1st so dont think mum can be bothered to do it, lol.

Usually the weekend before christmas. however the weekend before christmas this year we are having a big party (my 30th bday! whooop!) so we'll probably put it up in the run up to that.

sorry everyone, but i can't understand why anyone would want to put their christmas tree up as early as november! does it not take away half the fun of the build up to christmas? i'm not being bah humbug, but it's more than a month away!

I usually put mine up the first sunday in December, but didn't want to wait until the 6th so I'll be putting ours up while OH is at work!! lol

We're putting up the tree at work on Friday afternoon though - if we can arrange our boss an appointment somewhere as he'd wait until 20th Dec if we let him!

Rae theres 4 of us in my team at work who LOVE christmas and we've dubbed ourselves the Xmas Decoration commitee. Our decs will be going up on either monday the 30th Nov or Tuesday the 1st of Dec. lol

We always have competitions with the other teams in the office, this will be the first year my team will be taking part!! I can't wait! As I'm Sooooo competitive!!!

I think thats what we'll be like now - it's my first Xmas at this place and there are 4 Xmas lovers, 2 scrooges but I'm hoping we can more than outweigh them!! We jokingly said we'd do it this Friday as we could spend the afternoon doing it and not lose too much productive time?! We'll see if it works!

Its up! For us it is also our first Christmas living together and since we moved in back in the summer I have looked forward to this moment..sad I know!

Its mine and OHs first Christmas in our own home this year. I haven't had a tree up for the last 4 years.....so dead excited to go plastic tree shopping on tuesday. Doubt I'll be able to hold back putting it up once its bought. Only decision now is LED or fibre optic one; silver or green; massive in your face or small and sophisticated....mmmmmmmmmmmm

I always used to put it up on the 1st Sunday in Decemebr but since all th kids have left home I put it up the week before Christmas, I love New Year when I can take it all down again & have a big clean!!

We are having a real one this year but I dont know how soon real ones come out - does anyone know? also how long will it last? I dont know if it will still look nice by xmas time?

I'm buying nice xmas things as I go along so will put up things when we have more.
