I've got mine in a metal baskety thingamabob. Although it is quite small so they spill over onto the work surface.

Are you asking because you keep yours in a knicker drawer or somewhere equally as random?!

I knew you'd be the first to reply!!

I actually have also been keeping mine in a metal baskety thingamabob. Like a mini shopping basket. But the spilling over is annoying not to mention the 'forgotten about vegetables now stinking mush factor.......

Our fridge veg section is awkwardly filled with beer......

I keep mine in the fridge! (the bagged ones from the freezer section in the shop, I keep in the freezer! ? ) My mum keeps hers in the utility room at home. Its a cooler room than the rest of the house, and they are fine!

Ah yes, I have that problem too - my veg section is filled with lager and wine! (Much better use for it if you ask me)

PS> are we seriously discussing this?!!! ?

How can something ever be 'awkwardly filled with beer'? Surely this is a Good Thing?

Yes! its what young married and to be married ladies should be discussing.......... being a wife n homemaker and all that...

    or....

its a question to ponder whilst i wait for the kitchen paint to dry and contemplate what i could buy off ebay to store my vegetables better. The basket isnt sitting well with the vintage looking enamelled bread bin u see..... *sigh*

I have a stupidly sized American fridge freezer, which has its own Bar section!!!

We keep the veg in the draws in the fridge, as I can set it for Fruit/Veg/meat...changes the inside tempreture apparently!

Ares currently live in fridge/ cupboard but we are investigating a stand and potatoe bag to keep them in the garage where it is much cooler!

We keep ours in the fridge, they'd go mouldy too quickly otherwise!

Ah, so this is actually a question about shopping rather than vegetables. Yes, yes, you must be something new and shiny to keep them in. In fact, you could buy two things so you can separate out your veg into potatoes and other stuff.

Hahahahaha i have the potatoe bag - got it from Betterware lol tatties still sprouted in it.

I buy new potatoes that can be done in the microwave instead, or ready mash, lol helluva lot easier to store......

I like the rustic drawers but no room to put that anywhere...

    excellent reasoning!!

im a bit greedy, we keep our potatoes, onions, butternut squash type things in a basket which is hiden in one of our kitchen cupbords, then everything else in in the fridge in the veggie drawn.

our fridge door tray is full of booze!!!

Am i really greedy that my root veggies go in the cupboard (in a basket), my salad actually goes in the salad drawer of the main fridge and my beer has it's own (full size) fridge, which OH will only allow Meat in if we do a really big shop?

I'm catching up on old threads...

    WSS - What She Said

We have a fosters fridge that we stole from our pub to keep veg in. It's perfect. Out fridge is too small to keep all our veg in.
