I'm current;y trying rosemary conley. My problem is portion sizes and their little pots you get really help with. I had lost almost a stone but put some back on as haven't been that good lately.

I'm back on it this week x

I'm on Slimming World - just having to go and be weighed in front of a lady is what motivates me - I get scared of what the scales will say in front of her!!

Previously we were doing FatFighting Fridays on hitched, everyone who was trying to lose weight could say how they had done that week - a lil motivational push!

Iv got quite a bit of weight to lose before i get measured for my dress/corset........im not following any fad diets i have just switched to 'clean eating' (basicaly only complex carbs like brown rice/pasta, wholegrain breads, lots of good proteins like turkey and fish and tons of fruit and veggies)and i exercise regulary (cardio and resistance) by doing this iv lost 31lbs in 12 weeks which im really pleased with. My general heath has improved masses too, i suffered very very badly with my IBS but since changing my diet i have not had many episodes and have masses of energy and have been sleeping better! id deffinately reccomend it, anyone interested should google 'tosca reno' who founded clean eating Smiley smile Smiley smile

Hiya Ive been on WW too, but just doing it online, not going to the meetings. I started in Jan and have lost just over 2 stone - and I have to say I feel better than I have in years. My dress is going to need to be taken in loads, but thats another matter!! I have to say I think the thing that has helped the most has been cutting out loads of booze - and on the plus side I get drunk now after about 2 drinks, so OH thinks me a cheap date! lol

Keep strong - It'll be totally worth it in the end! x

Everyone keeps saying, oh you should be really focused now you haven't got long! But being an emotional eater and being stressed doesn't help.

Well i will get weighed thursday (expecting a gain) then just start a fresh Friday xx

    Thanks girls xxxx

Hi, I'm following Slimming World, I don't go to meetings though. I'm an emotional eater too, so hope we can all help each other to shift that flab! I'm not getting married, but I'm 30 in 3 months, and determined to look good! Good luck to you all!

Hey month twin, I'm donig ww too but not going to meetings etc, just know the points by heart from doing it years ago - it doesn't help my motivation though! I'm a bit of an emotional eater too - when stressed, order pizza!

I've found exercise is helping me the most, doing lots of walking (I work 6 miles from home but twice a week have been walking 3 then getting the bus) and also going on the wii to try and tone up. Ideally I'd like to lose 7lb but the last few pounds are meant to be the hardest so I'm really struggling too - I either stay the same or put on a pound, so annyoing! I haven't been an angel, but have been much better than normal. Have my first dress fitting today so am just going to see how I feel. I don't want to crash diet but don't want to look back and wish I'd made a bit more effort.

Good luck, and sure you will look lovely regardless of these flipping 'points'!

I have been cutting down my portion sizes and swapping my snacks for healthier versions. Also been on my wii fit at least twice a week which is great cos I don't have to be embarrassed by excercising in front of people and I can track my weight on their and set mini targets without paying to join a 'club'.

I have lost 13lbs in 7 weeks so it is going well at the mo!

Good luck with your weight loss plans xxx

Phew... i have some good news. The dressmaker is ill, so my fitting has been moved now till the 29th. So an extra week of dieting!

I'm going for the dreaded weighing in tonight. Looking forward to it in a way. I'm hoping it may shock me into doing something.

    Back on track tomorrow!!

Awww good for you! I'm pleased to say I've been quite good this week, despite having a little upset. I nearly grabbed the nearest chocolate bar, but then I just have to remind myself that it won't help, and I try to remember times in the past when I've used food as a crutch, and how it made me feel after I'd eaten stuff I shouldn't - not very good!

Plus, I've treated myself to some really lovely fruit every day this week, I know it might not sound like a treat but I love cherries so I've been making the most of them being in season!

Good luck for tonight, let us know how you get on x

Well done! It's always kind of a relief to stay the same if you think you've had a really bad week.

I'm still sticking to it but I'm climbing the walls today to be honest, I'd kill for some really bad stuff (I won't say what as I don't want everyone else to start craving too!)

I don't actually have scales at home as I got a bit obsessed with weighing myself so threw them out. I think I might have to buy some new ones though or I won't know if all this good behaviour is actually worth it!

Not loosing weight for my wedding yet as it is still so far away, but I am loosing weight for my holiday in August. I am doing Slimming World (haven't joined a group), as my Mum had great results. It is coming off slowly (1lb - 1.5lbs per week), but I haven't got that much left to loose (10lbs). It is the only diet I've been on that I've been able to stick to for more than 2 weeks, and I'm happy on it too!!! ?

    xx

Just be careful cos you need to burn them up! My fitness instructor told me that he was very happy with my diet but to keep the complex carbs (cereals) for earlier in the day so I have all day to butn them off. I do have pasta/rice/cous-cous/potatoes in the evening but not a lot of them.

Im just trying to cut the rubbish out of my diet and to exercise more. I did start a kind of detox thing, but as you have to wait an hour after taking it to eat, or wait an hour after eating to take it, its not the most handy! I am going to try and finish it tho to see how it goes.

The most weight I have lost tho is by eating properly and exercising. I dont deprive myself of food either tho. I do have the odd biscuit with my coffee!

    Hi all,

I started Weight Watchers a few weeks ago. Have lost 2lb so far...haven't had my weigh in for this week yet but think it's going ok so far. Doesn't really feel like a diet which is nice...and if I save my points I can still have treats.

Like a lot of people I'm also an emotional eater! People keep saying "oh you lose loads of weight when you get married because your too stressed to eat" but I'm the opposite! As soon as I get stressed I just want to pile in the biscuits!!

Anyway hope everyone's weight loss is going ok and think a little support on here is a great incentive!
