Both lovely but I like the maxi best

They both look lovely!

Personally I'd go for the maxi but take the white one with you just in case there is any reason why the photographer doesn't recommend a pattern.

Ooo I went to Royal Holloway, and going to a wedding at both venues in a few weeks! You'll have lovely locations for photos! Cant decide between the dresses, so Im not v helpful! What about heading into town quick and grabbing a plain maxi if the pattern is bothering you? x

When I had my pre wedding shoot, my tog told us to wear plain block colours. I didn't have anything like that with me and it still looked fine.

Might be a bit late but I like the white one. Khav's idea to take both is good though, just in case!

Agree with our wise Footlong - the maxi is lovely, but patterned maxi dresses might be ridiculously unfashionable when you look back on the photos in 50 years time. The white one will always look classic, and also looks more engagement-y to me.
