Crikey, I've barely thought about it. Last year we went away so I'm out of practice.

Might think about a list tonight ?

I posted a couple of weeks ago about what's on my combined Christmas/Birthday list and got shot down for being so early!!!

So shall you join me to sit on the couch and drink wine whilst the rest of the country battles through the crowds in the sleet during December!?

It's not too early! I couldn't leave it until December, I like to spread the cost and pick up things in the sale as I go along. This year I have to be super organised too as I could be in hospital over Christmas! I sent the lovely French Fancy a 'little' Christmas order this afternoon and have started pulling photos of E together ready for the Grandparents' annual calendar!

    Totally.

I love sitting back, laughing at frantic FB updates about how stressed everyone is trying to get their shopping done.

Ill join too please, I'm about half way done as we're going on honeymoon so we've been saving for that. I'm organised though and we have about 10/15 couples to buy for so I've organised a few.

People laugh at me but i love going out in December round the Christmas market and for a meal and everyone is wandering around shops miserable and cold. Much rather have it sorted early!

I bought my first present at the start of July and I'm trying to spread it evenly as we don't have much money this year.

I like to get my birthday at the end of October out the way before thinking about xmas but as we are hosting it this year, i think i am going to have to get my butt in gear!

my mum text me this morning actually to say that she was in TKMaz and wondered if we had enough serving dishes for xmas dinner! ? I am so not that organised!!!

I start early to spread the cost too. I love shopping but hate it when there is stress to buy things and crowds! I like wandering round the shops looking at their Christmas displays, and if I see anything I can get it if I like as an extra (this is not financially viable, I know), there is no pressure to HAVE to buy things.

I work will all men so around the middle of December I start to be asked "What is.... and where can I buy it?!"

Well I think you're all mental too! It's September! We still have 2 whole months before it's even December. (Flow, I suppose upduffedness is kind of an excuse, I might let you off.)

I understand wanting to spread the cost but can't you just put money in a separate account for a while? I don't understand why a quarter of the year or more is dedicated to one day.

Because sometimes there are some epic bargains.

I have 4 kids, so REALLY need to spread the cost, so if I see something they'd like at a stupid price, then I get it as I see it. I got my eldest a Lego set for £8.99 down from £49.99. Those types of savings won't be found nearer to Christmas.

My OH is going to Vegas the week before Xmas, and I am arming him with a shopping list.

    Asking for trouble.

This thread has just inspired me to buy my first Christmas presents. There is 25% off designer shoes and bags at Debenhams so I've just bought my niece this frost french bag,

she is 16 she will love it.

I've also just ordered a one direction annual and calender from Amazon to go with the other ones present at £4 each instead of £8, whatever it turns out to be. This early bargain hunting is a good idea!
